Stopped here with my husband for breakfast while passing through town. There is no hostess, so you seat yourself, which makes it difficult to get waited on based on when you arrive. Other patrons that arrived after us received service first. I had the breakfast Platter. The eggs and home fries were good. My husband had a 222 with pancakes, eggs, and bacon. The eggs and bacon were perfect but the pancakes were pretty dry. We each had coffee but our waitress did not make enough check ins and my husband’s cup was empty a while before she approached with one refill. They were not busy, so another trip or two to check on us would have been appreciated. The interior of the restaurant is modern and clean. The service could have some improvement but the food and atmosphere are better than average.

We stopped here today and had lunch. Our waiter couldn’t have been nicer, food was very good and came to us in a short wait. To begin our meals my husband ordered the crab soup and I had the pea and dumpling soup. Both were delicious, would definitely order again. We will be back.

Georgetown Family Restaurant is a clean, recently renovated, family-owned diner located right in the heart of downtown Georgetown, Delaware. It has that small-town charm and a local feel, which we appreciated.
We stopped in for a simple breakfast — it was quick, inexpensive, and just what we needed to start the day.
That said, the service could use a bit of improvement, especially for visitors who may be touring the area like we were. A warmer, more welcoming approach would go a long way in making out-of-town guests feel at home.
Overall, it’s a convenient and affordable place to grab a bite, and we’d consider stopping by again.

The food was so good. My bacon was cooked exactly how I like it. My son said his burger was cooked well done without tasting burnt. You get big portions as well. I’m mad we found it last minute on our way back home from a mini vacation. We will definitely be back. The ladies there were really nice as well.

This place was fantastic…. True small town diner vibe. I try and rate restaurants based on what they should compare to. This place is ideal for breakfast and lunch. I was there with a group for breakfast. The food was classic and simple but perfectly done. The omelet selection had great variety, the platters were perfectly cooked and the waffles were a hit with the three people who got them. It’s also important to note the value, which was extraordinary (great prices!)

Food was great! Staff was friendly! Prices were reasonable! Four of us had a huge breakfast with beverages for $40! Will definitely go back next time we’re in the area!

Eggs and scrapple were extremely good. The shrimp of the Shrimp Scampi was very good, the pasta was not that great.
Service was outstanding and polite. She checked frequently to see if we needed anything.

The only reason why I rate it 3 stars instead of 5 is b/c of the super cheap TP in the men’s bathroom. A line formed due to it & it’s an easy fix. Other than that everything was really great!
