A very pleasant experience. Ate here during Americade and even being extremely busy their attention to detail and service was excellent. I had the Prime Rib and my husband had a seafood platter. Food was prepared as requested and was plentiful. Our server had several tables with 8 or more people each but treated our little 2 person table as important as the bigger tables and we tipped her accordingly. We will definitely return next time we are in Lake George!

Service was not great. Super long wait for food. Unreasonable pricing. All my years eating throughout the country I’ve never had any restaurants charge me a sharing fee for platters that I order . 0 notice about this sharing fee or disclaimers about this on their menus as well. I was also charge a credit card fee at the end of the dinner which was not indicated as company policy anywhere on the menu or in visible areas of the restaurant. What’s most ridiculous is that they automatically charged us 20% service tipping fee at the end of the bill. I don’t think any restaurant I’ve ever eaten across the USA has charge me automatic tip at the end of the meal. I brought this up to the manager and she was able to remove this from my bill. I stated that I thought tips were based on discretion that depended on the service provided. At the end I paid cash. They are lucky I didn’t charge the meal

Excellent prime rib!!! My wife and I shared the Chef’s Cut (which was a huge 2-rib portion!!!—we’d have even been fine with the smaller cut) and paid a small sharing plate-fee. My wife enjoyed the delicious salad bar while I added a crock of the scrumptious French Onion Soup. Very Adirondack-y decor—lots of beautiful taxidermy and a definite lodge-feel. Very pleased!

AMAZING. Best Prime Rib not only in Lake George but that I have ever consumed. The George’s cut is more beef than most could handle, although this tenderly cooked flavorful piece of flesh makes your heart want more than the stomach has availability for. Unless you consider yourself a avid feaster you can likely get away with the petite or chef’s cut, I’m a fan of when quality meet quantity so I always go for George’s cut. Savvy Veteran move is to order the raw horseradish along with the creamy for a nice kick when you begin to feel some palate fatigue. The baked potato was as expected, cooked well. Crispy outside, warm fluffy inside.

The seafood stuffing was under cooked , found a hair wrapped around the pickle from the basic salad bar . Shrimp was over cooked . Beer on tap tasted old . The stained glass lights were awesome. The food is not worth it , very disappointing over priced and they don’t take nothing off your bill not even the hairy pickle salad bar find.

Was in Lake George for a family reunion. Called for a reservation for a party of 18 and a baby; they would only take us at 4PM when they opened and would seat us at 2 tables next to each other. No problem. We arrived at our tables, which had signs that indicated there were other parties coming in behind us – one table at 5:30 and one table at 6. We got settled, the wait staff got organized, took drink and food orders. Everything came out tasting and looking good, though the portions were incredibly small for the prices charged. Pace of courses was good. As we waited for dessert, the wait staff and management started clearing every possible thing they could from the table. We suddenly felt incredibly rushed to finish our meal and get out. Desserts and coffees arrived, and the cleaning around us continued as we ate. My niece was trying to feed her baby as they were rushing us out and she couldn’t even finish feeding him. The experience upset all of us. It was very unprofessional and rude. My family spent over $2000 on that meal, between food and bar, and should have not been treated like that. The wait staff was great and accommodating up to that point, when they were obviously pressed by management to get us out of there. I’ll never go back.

After showing up for my 6:30 reservation, we were not seated until 7:30. This meant that we would not be making it to our event at the New York Military Museum on time (bummer!!). When we would ask if the table was almost ready, we were constantly assured that our table was almost ready, knowing that it wasn’t. Then, when we were finally seated, we confronted the staff about the poor service and asked if we could receive a complimentary appetizer. We were only met with denial and condescension. Additionally, when a wait staff was making conversation with us, they asked where we were from, we mentioned that we were in from NYC. They then proceeded to add that New Yorkers don’t “cater” to other people, as if we were supposed to be HAPPY about our reservation being an hour late. We will never be going back to this establishment, despite the fact that it was a really good prime rib (ugh!!!).

Yummy, we enjoyed our visit. Loved the food it did not disappoint. I had the scallops and they were perfectly cooked. Our server was a little overwhelmed but she made it right for us. Friendly staff, wait wasn’t bad at dinner time. Great atmosphere, good experience, we would definitely eat here again.
