George’s Pizza is a tough place to rate. Despite the name, it’s a lot closer to a bar that does food than a real pizzeria. By the standards of the former, it’s better than you’d expect. By the standards of the latter, it’s nothing special.
We ordered a medium George’s Combo pizza (pepperoni, sausage, beef, green peppers, and mushrooms) and an order of fried mushrooms. Food was read on-time, and it looked good. The pizza was generously topped, and the mushrooms were a nice golden brown.
Those mushrooms were addictively good. Dip them in ranch, and you’ll have a hard time stopping yourself from eating more than you should. The pizza was more of a mixed bag. The toppings were tasty as was the sauce: robust with just a hint of sweetness. However, the crust was mediocre, and $20-plus seemed steep for a medium pie.
I can imagine that George’s might be a fun place to watch a game, and it’s certainly convenient, but it’s far from the best pizza option in town.

THIS-IS-THE-GO-TO-RESTAURANT!!!!
The outside appearance is SO misleading, don’t pass this place by. EVERYTHING is AMAZING! And the Prices for the amount of food you get are unbelievable! I ALWAYS leave with a take-out box because there’s so much yumminess that I can never finish in one sitting!
Ok—now my go-to’s: ONION RINGS are freaking Out-of-this-World—definitely a staple and with their homemade ranch dressing—can’t go wrong!
Next, their subs—-I’m literally drooling now thinking about the hot ham and cheese (second pic!) This thing is so crispy on the outside and soft and warm and ohhhhh yes in the middle! Recommend getting the large and saving half for lunch the next day!
First pic and top of second pic is the chicken quesadilla. It’s FILLED with chicken and cheese and will totally FILL you up!!!
Finally, do you see my third picture—that is the calzone—it’s as big as my head and weighs just as much! OMG it is FABULOUS!!!
Seriously, you will NEVER be disappointed with anything you order! An absolute gem of a restaurant!!!

The way to think about George’s is that it is a bar first and a restaurant second. The service can be up and down some. The kitchen might have a bad night sometimes. The interior is definitely well worn. But the food? When it’s good. It’s good. They have some of the best wings in High Point. Always cooked to perfection. I could just go here for wings and be perfectly happy. Loaded tater tots are amazing. Regular ones great as well. The burger is large and has a great fresh taste. Cooked to order. Portion sizes are large. You won’t leave hungry. Last time I was here everything was A OK and I plan to return soon.

Ordered a Build Your Own Burger, it was excellent. The lettuce, tomato and red onion were fresh, surprising amount of bacon, couldn’t have been happier with it. Will definitely be back, lots of options to choose from on the menu.

We have been eating and drinking here for over 15 years and have always gotten great food and personal service. I’m sad to say that NONE of that happened today. It was like all of the people we knew who worked there just up and left. Our normal waitresses…. the cook…. everybody gone! It definitely showed in the food and service. It was not busy at all and our waitress was a young lady we’ve never seen before who was not very good at her job. The food….. total disaster. The loaded cheese fries were greasy and had very little cheese but were edible. We got the boneless wings and a small cheese pizza for main course. Look at attached pics. Says it all. The boneless wings were burned, dry, and very little sauce. The biggest let down was the pizza…. this pizza was soggy and cold on the bottom with hardly any cheese on a pizza with ONLY cheese as the topping. See Pic. This place had the best pizza in town….no exception. We spent over $60.00 this trip and got very bad food. PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD WAIT STAFF AND COOK…or plan on closing soon.

The reviews have to be from regulars. Waited over 30 to order. Service was extremely slow and they acted like they could careless if you were there or not. Wings were good. Pizza came out semi warm and resembled a frozen pizza. Floors are gross and the bathrooms were more gross.

The wings are not the best I’ve had but they are okay. Just naked and seasoning sprinkled on top. The pizza had a good ratio of toppings to crust. The crust was very unique in flavor and texture. The live music was good, but the noise level was not favorable.

Well this was my first trying this place but never again I ordered a veggie pizza and hot wings. Well the pizza didn’t taste like anything and it had big chunks of tomatoes ♀️. I felt like I was eating paper well the crust was good that’s it. The wings were dry dry but at least they had good favor. But I don’t want to risk it and waste my money on something that I don’t enjoy.
