Parking is available for walks along the rocky shoreline, viewing of the Ocean from the restaurant and gift shop, or a visit to the neighboring Montauk Lighthouse, the oldest lighthouse in New York State, commissioned by President George Washington in 1792, for whom the restaurant is named.

Stopped in for a bite to eat while at the lighthouse. I decided to take my chance with a lobster roll. It was pretty good for $25 and came with the fries. It was not overdone with Mayo and had nice chunks. I prefer a chunky lobster roll compared to a slaw some places out here try to make it.

Went here on 8/15. Meh songs on loop, cranky service worker (seems to be the norm in Montauk), but the food was absolutely on point. Got the fish & chips. Fish was beer battered and fries were double fried. That cook was a miracle worker.
