Man, this is the spot, the music and vibes are perfect. Old school back in the day esthetics and a dope DJ playing while you sip on you morning coffe and eat some awesome French toast, burritos, burgers, or chilaquiles. The food variety is great, and let me tell you the staff is super friendly, very responsive, and constantly making sure you got everything you need or top you off with more coffee. I can’t wait to come back, I hope everyone tries this place it’s worth 100 stars if it were up to me 10 stars ain’t enough to rate this place, it’s also super clean, and a great mom and pop kinda joint.

First time visiting George’s Cafe. Our server was awesome, she asked if I cared for coffee after we sat down and were handed the menus. My son got the Pastrami burger with garden salad and ranch dressing. I chose the short stack pancakes and we shared the chicken tenders and fries. My son said he liked the Pastrami burger although it just had a little too much mustard. The pancakes were light and fluffy with a pat of butter and lightly sprinkled with powdered sugar. The chicken tenders looked overcooked but they were actually seasoned well, the breading was crunchy with juicy white meat. It is a relaxed casual dining place, wheelchair accessible, with patio seating, adequate parking and clean restrooms.

George’s Cafe is a local hotspot eatery that offer foodies traditional meals (breakfast/brunch) in a cozy and welcoming dining experience. It’s located on a tiny plaza at 522 E Vine Ave in West Covina.
Customers have an option of seating in their rear outdoor patio with street view as well as indoor. Throughout the cafe’s interior decor you’ll see some iconic cultural figures and the beautiful Virgen de Guadalupe. Their menu has a wide variety of breakfast (American & Mexican) items. I came early morning and ordered a Cafe de Olla and a Veggie Omelette. Both were just okay-typical coffee and breakfast. Service was mildly slow because they only have 1 male server working in that morning. And their customer started to pour in at 08:45 am. I can see he’s struggling taking orders. I almost wanted to assist the male server and I start taking customers’ orders and inquiries. Atmosphere was good. Prices were fair that reflects the quality and quantity of the food or drinks offered. Staff were competent and affable.
Overall, this cafe is modest that offers a Mexican home cooked meal. I think there are area in their business that can be improved.

Cozy, clean and delicious! Staffed by only two yet our food was out fast. I had the ultimate burrito, son had the ultimate omelet, wife and daughter had the French toast combo. All meals were excellent. Their green salsa was perfectly light for a breakfast meal.

Looked up a quick breakfast place that we could pick up and it didn’t disappoint. Everything tasted amazing. Normally you sort of expect salty with bacon and sausage but no this was perfect! Went with the basic 2+2+2+2 and a French toast breakfast. Even my picky coworker truly enjoyed the meal. So we will definitely be coming back and trying more of the menu. Owner helped us out and was very kind. Our food was ready when we arrived. Can’t wait to go back. Doesn’t hurt that it’s very cute inside.

Our first visit to George’s Cafe. We had the chicken fried steak, French toast, and basic sausage and eggs breakfasts. All of them were delicious. Everything is cooked well. The gravy is a more savory type of gravy. It is delicious but not the standard plain white gravy if that is what you prefer. Service is EXCELLENT! Really appreciated the staff here. Clean diner with adorable paintings by a young artist. We will be back for sure.
Second visit: we had the Swiss Mushroom Burger, Chicken Avocado Sandwich with bacon added, and the cheese ravioli. Burger was thick and juicy, thick slices of mushrooms with a generous portion of cheese. The sandwich was perfect. The chicken had a lot of flavor, the bacon was cooked crisp, the produce was fresh, the sourdough bread was toasted perfectly. Granddaughter said the ravioli had a delicious marinara sauce and a lot of creamy cheese filling The garlic bread had a top layer of crisped cheese on the top and a great garlic flavor. We added pictures of all of them.

Imma be honest with you, this place wasn’t even that good. I got an ultimate omelette and the meat was pretty good, but there was almost no cheese. Having an omelette without cheese is like having a sandwich without meat. They served orange juice in bottles, which were kind of overpriced. You’re better off going to the nearby Farmer Boys if you want good breakfast.
