I have had the burgers and they are good, but today it was Chili cheese dog & onion ring time. It’s a simple chili cheese dog that could use more cheese, but it helped with the craving. If you like onion rings do not get the small as it only has 4 rings.

I had to put this review. I’m an African American single mother that’s been living in Boyle heights for a year and some few months, coming from south LA. I’ve been eating here ever since I moved to BH I really love the burgers and my children enjoy eating here as well. But there is a customer service problem with the manager with this glasses. They have made mistakes that they had no problem fixing until today 5/3/25. I ordered a burger with no mayo anything made I with mayo. I got my order and check it when I got home find out they put mayo on my burger, I called the restaurant to let them know. I spoke to a young lady that told me she made a mistake, took my number down and told me she would call me back with a conclusion. Never did I walk up to restaurant and I explained the situation to this sweet boy that works there. He explained it to the manager he started yelling and talking in Spanish. Which I didn’t understand. I started to stare at him then he told me I complain too much while rising his arm and hands in the air. I thought that was very disrespectful, I always spend my money there even working with the mistakes because I’m loyal but damn I really know I didn’t deserve all that disrespect energy. Do better God bless.

Unexpectedly tasty American food for a fair price! Took awhile to get our food but when it was ready; it was totally fresh. There were plenty of seating options, no restrooms, free refills, and an extensive menu to choose from.
I ordered Chili Cheese Fries and my partner ordered the California Burrito. We both really enjoyed our food, as did the three others in our group. Stop by here for tasty, affordable food!

My dad use take my family to George’s Burger Stand when we were very young enjoy their burgers and especially the pastrami sandwich they were so good back in the days. Today food is still good especially their pastrami sandwich. The building looks the same but the add an outside patio.

I ordered the carne asada fries, they were pretty great. They were not overly greasy and had very fresh pico de gallo. If I had any critique of it, it would be that I would have liked more cheese, but that is just a personal preference and will make sure that I tell them next time. The meat was very tender and I did not find myself having to spit out any ligament or fat. I could have used a bit more seasoning if I’m being honest, but it was good overall. They also give maybe a quarter avocado, I would prefer a half, an avocado even if that meant another 50 cents or something. That being said, I enjoy the fact that they give you slices rather than guacamole.
They have a variety of salsas/sauces to choose from including thousand islands, a mildly spicy ketchup, green salsa, red salsa, ranch, and another spicy red sauce. They are all pretty great and fresh.
They do not have a public restroom, which is unfortunate and one of the reasons why I couldn’t rate it higher.
Service was great, no complaints. Quick and easy transaction.
They keep the establishment clean.
Parking can be a bit difficult, but not impossible. There is also a paid lot next to their parking lot. Not sure of the prices, but I would assume that it isn’t expensive as it’s not off street parking.
Will definitely return again to try some other stuff out.

For a simple, no-frills burger spot this was killer. The meat was great, fries were perfect, staff was kind and I really want to go back for the breakfast burrito. A lot of places like this are very blah, but George’s clearly cares about the ingredients they put into the food and how they prepare everything. Would highly recommend this spot for a quick bite
