We got here was not a very busy night but we definitely had a great experience to bartender. Was very nice. Chatted up with us. We had a good time with a few people in the restaurant. It was quiet. Could eat and looks like they had plenty of seating inside and outside if there’s a beautiful evening.

Quaint and comfortable neighborhood restaurant that punches above its weight. Exceptional service with an elevated menu thats balanced, accessible, and always beautifully plated. I recommend trying their weekend brunch. But, if the weather is pleasant, an evening happy hour on the welcoming patio is the perfect after work stop.

We recently visited George’s Bistro & Bar for the first time during Restaurant Week. Despite being located in a shopping center, the interior felt cozy and tastefully elegant. I ordered the House Salad and the George Burger. I asked for the burger to be well done because I don’t like raw meat in a burger. For some reason, and given what was happening in that short time we were there, I sensed the burger might be overcooked, and unfortunately, it arrived nearly burnt. My wife had the Flatbread Hummus Trio, the Grilled Chicken Avocado Croissant, and a coffee, which she enjoyed.
What really affected the experience was the service. The manager greeted every table except ours, which happened to be the only Hispanic table in the restaurant, and the repeated glances from the manager felt uncomfortable, as if our presence wasn’t welcome. That detail really diminished the overall experience.
A dining experience shouldn’t be only about food, but also about how welcome you feel. Ownership and management must understand that the most valuable service they can provide their customers is outstanding assistance, making guests feel appreciated and comfortable. In this case, they fell far short of that standard.
Until the management addresses this, I can’t recommend the experience.

I will give a strong 4 stars. This is a great date spot. I had the George Burger with truffle fries. I definitely have to come back with my wife to try the lobster Mac and Cheese including the street corn dish. So, until then! Bon appetite!!!

Ordered two pizzas, The Godfather and The Queen, and both were delicious. The dough was excellent, the service was amazing, and the music and atmosphere were great. Loved the bar and the oven setup. Will definitely be back!

We had a large group (13 of us) and the waiter we had took care of us all and made everyone feel welcome. They do tip gratitude if you have a large table so be aware of that when you get the check back!
Restaurant is known for their pasta and pizza. Bartender was very nice as well and understanding

I dropped-in here before 5 pm during rush hour as I had been wanting to try-out this restaurant. I was greeted by friendly, well dressed, skilled waiters. The restaurant was very attractive and decorated in an up-scale way. There was pleasant light jazz music in the background which created a very nice atmosphere. My kale-mix salad with honey salad dressing was delicious, served with optional cooked, marinated chicken. There were warm cheese pita pieces as an accompaniment. I am glad to have eaten here and plan to go again.
1/17/2026 Visited again with a group of 9 for dinner. Loved the white table clothes and napkins. Our waiter was well dressed, pleasant and skilled. The restaurant was full and clientele were dressed appropriately for a nice restaurant. I made a mistake and ordered the wrong salad. I did not like the white balsamic dressing for the house salad. It was too salty for my. Otherwise, I enjoyed the dining experience and would go back. My dinner partners seemed to enjoy what they ordered.

[December 2024 Update. This has become one of our favorite places, and we darken their doorstep about once a week. The new menu items are a hit. Their patio is wonderful for outdoor dining on Houston winter days. Lovely service from Yolanda and Kevin on our last few visits. Fantastic spot!] George’s is simply superb. The food is phenomenal and lovingly prepared and might be described as New American with an Italian flair. We have paid much more for meals that were not nearly this elite. The grilled trout can be upgraded for a small upcharge to include a very generous topping of crab and side dishes (as you can see in the photo). The charcuterie is huge and inventive with everything from high-quality mortadella to fresh honeycomb. The beet salad was fantastic and actually included a generous portion of beets, not the paper-thin slices some restaurants offer and then overcharge. We didn’t even make it to the fantastic pasta menu or the HRW offerings. Buttermilk ice cream…how good does that sound when it’s 100 degrees? George’s has a full bar and a huge covered patio that sits on the east side of the restaurant, meaning it never sees the worst afternoon heat. Plenty of easy parking. Fantastic service from Nicholas and his ninja-like reflexes when we were clumsy. A new favorite!

The goat cheese beet mouse salad was very tasty. The gluten free pizza had delicious and high quality ingredients that my boyfriend declared his favorite mushroom pizza even though he doesn’t like gluten free crust. The soup of the day was a chicken tortilla soup that was flavorful but too much salt. I couldn’t have more than a few mouthfuls of it. We are definitely coming back for more pizza and we are going to try the glutenful pizza!
