We got the Crispy Chicken Salad and they are HUGE AND PERFECT and worth every penny!

I forgot to get pictures when they first brought them out, but they have everything on them! You will love these salads!

They don’t have the salads in the options below when it asks you to check off what you recommend, so I just chose the biscuits and gravy and the toast from the options available because I saw the biscuits and gravy and the toast and they are huge servings that look very very delicious.

You will never regret eating here.

We live in the area and we are definitely coming back.

Six thumbs way up.

A great little retro diner down in Long Beach. I am working through a list of all diners in LA County and next up on my list was George’s. It’s a classic Los Angeles throwback diner, which I personally love. They don’t have outside seating, but they have plenty of tables inside as well as counter seating. Our server was also extremely polite and everything that we ordered came out as requested and quickly. They have a large parking lot attached with plenty of free spaces so parking will never be an issue.

For my first visit I chose the Hamburger Steak & Eggs and really enjoyed all of it. The eggs were cooked exactly as I requested, and the steak was done perfectly. It had a lot of flavor and the portion size was very generous. The coffee was strong and the price was fair so I would definitely recommend to any diner fan or to anyone searching for a great casual spot for breakfast or lunch.

A One-of-a-Kind Los Angeles Gem!

If you are looking for a dining experience that is unique and bursting with charm, you must check out George’s 50s Diner in Long Beach. This place isn’t just a diner; it’s a step back in time!

The aesthetic and charm are one-of-a-kind. The whole place, from the colored booths to the classic decor, feels like a true, authentic, old-school mom and pop diner that you don’t see anymore. It’s immaculate, vibrant, and full of nostalgic character.

But the atmosphere is only half the story. The heart of George’s 50s Diner is its amazing staff. It’s clear that this is a family-run and operated establishment, and the folks who work there are genuinely so kind and welcoming.

A huge kudos to George, Helen, Arturo, and the entire staff… you make every visit feel like coming home.

Don’t miss out on this Los Angeles gem!

Came here to have breakfast with my best friend and her daughter. Place looks kinda run down, staff was friendly, the food was good, a little on the cold side but it tasted pretty homemade which I liked. The only thing is we had to keep asking for the obvious things like, straws, napkins, silverware… They forgot to add the avocado to my friend’s omelette so they brought it on the side, but the staff didn’t seem upset or bothered by us asking for the things we needed.

Nice little spot. Nothing crazy to write about and no real negatives. Food was what you’d expect, nothing amazing. Atmosphere is nice and fun and definitely fits into the gimmick.

George’s 50s diner. The place to go for friendly service and great food, while listening to oldie tunes during your visit.

Been wanting to come here for the longest and finally came with my husband and kids. The food is mid and the service was beyond horrible. The servers where attending all the regular folks first and left us until the end. Even regulars that came in after us where helped and serve way faster!. We also felt like we didnt get the same treatment as they did. Only employee that did help us out with respect was the older man (bus boy) . Other than that we will never be back

I grew up watching a cinderella story and it’s still my favorite movie. I was so stoked to visit the location of its filming! The staff was so nice and let us take pictures when we finished our meal (which was at closing time). It was so fun so figure out how the movie was filmed in the diner. I couldn’t believe Chad michael murray and Hilary duff filmed here 20 years ago. Such a fun experience!!

Haven’t been there since 2019 because their hours are not enough right now its 8am to 2pm. They are serving breakfast all day. The biscuits and gravy was pretty good with the grilled onions and other stuff. They have inside and outside seating.
