I love throwback diners and George & Sally’s is definitely a throwback! Come enjoy the sights and smells of this 50s style diner! Great look from the outside, easily seen from the road. Parking is ample with plenty of spots! Food is hot, fresh and well prepared with generous portions! Take a step back in time and dine how they used to at George and Sally’s Blue Moon Diner!

George and Sally’s Blue Moon Diner at the Gilmore Car Museum is a quaint spot for a meal. Diner fare is tasty, with a very focused menu. Service was fine. Good for a museum restaurant and fair prices.

while the concept of this is SUPER cool, the service we received here was incredibly poor. our waiter (younger blonde male) took our order and then never came back to check on us – not even to give us our bill. We tried to grab the attention of both of the workers, but they wouldn’t even look in our direction. We waited at our table with our finished food for nearly 30 minutes before walking out.

George and Sally’s Blue Moon original 1941 diner. It opens at 11:00 am. Try to get there before noon to avoid crowds. I had the chicken salad sandwich. Excellent! Were those Michigan cherries in there? Nice. Excellent homemade blueberry pie. I thought prices were reasonable. Very convenient.

the hot dogs themselves are okay they could have been hot that would have been nice would have been nice if the cheese was melted and the onions cooked or the toppings not ice cold. good and feeling not great. cookies unfortunately were dry.

A great spot for lunch while visiting the Gilmore Car Museum! Their chicken salad sandwich was delicious and the space really captured the feeling of an old timey diner. Definitely would recommend.

I immediately felt unwelcome, as if being a customer was an inconvenience to the teenage staff working there. There was no sense of good customer service—no smiles or greetings—and I was even interrupted midway through placing my order so they could chat with a colleague. The menu was extremely limited; while the coney dogs were decent, with such a small selection, I expected the food and service to be much better. The whole place felt more like a carnival stand than a proper diner—especially considering they don’t even serve fries. The iced tea was grainy and unimpressive. That said, the diner itself has a lot of potential, with a nostalgic atmosphere that, for a moment, really stood out—until I was reminded that Gen Z seems to have lost the art of service with a smile. (And I say this as a teenager myself.) helpful tips: adding some nostalgic music would liven the place up & keep the business alive.

Terrible food in an atmosphere that is mediocre at best. The menus is cold sandwiches or hot dogs with shakes and coffee to drink. Served on paper trays with plastic cutlery and even styrofoam cups! Cheap bread, cheap meat, relish in a wholly unnatural shade of green — banish your dreams of biting into a hot and juicy diner-worthy burger. I mean, this is way worse than Steak and Shake. Steak and Shake has better decor too. The whole diner is half-baked, not up to the par of the Gilmore old cars. Huge disappointment.
