Reviews
We ordered online, paid, went to pick up. 20 minutes later they said they just received our order. Sent our son to grab after his classes and he had to wait an additional 20. So husband calls to complain and all we got was, “sorry, there’s nothing we can do about it.” No offer of compensation, not even a miso soup. THEN!! My husband says, “well…” and she hangs up!! Son comes home, and there’s zero napkins, silverware/chopsticks, and the “tempura” for the udon?? A joke, 2 skinny shrimps and 3 vegetables. Tons of noodles though, I guess to fill the bowl up with something.
Their 1 star reviews are growing. Beware!!
Nestled in a cozy corner of the neighborhood, Genroku Sushi & Grill is a delightful culinary destination that seamlessly blends the art of sushi with vibrant Asian flavors. As a frequent visitor, I’ve had the pleasure of savoring several dishes, and I can confidently say that this restaurant never fails to impress.
Orange Chicken:
One of my all-time favorites, the orange chicken at Genroku is nothing short of sublime. The perfectly crispy breading encases tender chicken pieces, and the luscious orange sauce delivers a delightful balance of sweetness and tang. It’s an explosion of flavor that keeps me coming back for more.
Mapu Fried Fish:
Another standout dish is the mapu fried fish. The fish is fried to a golden perfection, providing a satisfying crunch that complements the tender meat inside. The mapu sauce adds an irresistible umami kick, creating a harmonious balance that excites the palate.
Wonton in Chili Sauce:
The wontons in chili sauce are a must-try! Each dumpling is packed with flavorful filling and enrobed in a zesty chili sauce that adds just the right amount of heat. It’s a dish that showcases the restaurant’s commitment to bold flavors and authentic recipes.
Eggplant with Garlic Hot Pot:
To round off my favorites, the eggplant with garlic hot pot is a true culinary masterpiece. The eggplant is incredibly tender and absorbs the garlic-infused broth beautifully. It’s hearty yet light, making it a fantastic option for those who crave something comforting and flavorful.
Overall Experience:
The ambiance at Genroku is warm and welcoming, making it a great spot for both casual dining and special occasions. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable, always ready to recommend dishes or adjust spice levels to suit individual preferences.
In conclusion, Genroku Sushi & Grill is a gem that offers an exciting menu full of innovative combinations and timeless classics. With their exceptional orange chicken, mapu fried fish, wontons in chili sauce, and eggplant with garlic hot pot, every visit is a culinary adventure worth savoring. If you’re in the area, be sure to pay a visit—you won’t be disappointed!
