A local favorite for over 40 years — and today reminded me why. I had lunch at the Ormond location and it delivered. The best spaghetti and meatballs I’ve ever had. Period. The pizza and pasta are top-tier, the specials run all week, and the cozy dining room plus great service (hi, Cat!) seal the deal.

Was not expecting what we got. Walking in, the smell was amazing, restaurant clean and very busy but service was still top notch, didn’t wait long for food and EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING. Margherita pizza, cheesy garlic bread, meatballs, spaghetti, chicken Alfredo, penne bake, and calzone. We had an amazing meal and the cannoli was OMG. this is the kind of meal I expected of of an Italian restaurant I visited on the other side of the island a few weeks ago, but this place beat everything I’ve had since living in NJ. Great job guys.

Treat yourself to the best Italian place in the area. Yes it’s small but don’t let it fool you. Most likely it will be a challenge for you to get in and wait on amazing pizza but it is worth it. My personal favorite… everything!!! Never had a bad meal or service. They are all a great team that will take care of you like you are their family. Honestly minestrone was great!!! Had this homemade feel to it hearty. Yum! Spaghetti and meatballs yes but what shocked me to the core is marinara sauce. Straight outta heaven!!! Then I tried crab Alfredo pasta this is the best combo!! And since I loved the bread I can only imagine the taste of pizza. Will try it next time for sure!!! Do yourself a favor and try it!

Huuuge meatballs, good lasagna, great bread! My husband loved his Cafe pizza.
Very nice people. The hostess was very nice as was the -he was either a cook or busboy. I encountered him while I was waiting to use the ladies restroom. He told me to go ahead into the gents as I had been waiting quite awhile. All around a great experience.

This is the best Italian food I have had since moving to Florida. It was so good we ordered it 2 days in a row. We had the garlic bread with mozzarella cheese, chicken parm, fettuccine alfredo, and on the 2nd day we had 2 calzones to go. First of all the portions are very large and everything is fresh and made to order. Everyone working there was super nice and SO friendly. The whole experience was 5/5 and we will be going back over and over again!

It’s perfect if you like paying $14 for 5 ravioli.
Editing to add after owner responded: Yes it came with a little salad and a little bread, but I’m paying for RAVIOLI. I would have rather the tiny salad and bread been priced a la carte and instead gotten more ravioli. Also adding this was for my 10yr old daughter who made me open a can of chef boyardee after this “appetizer”. So yeah, I’m not happy that I had to open a can a ravioli after spending $14 at an Italian restaurant for a dinner plate.

We highly recommend Genoveses Italian Cafe! Stopped by for a quick lunch and had amazing pizza! Tamara and I had a white clam pizza and the kids shared a small extra cheese pizza. The dough was super fresh, crispy on the crust and didn’t flop when you took a slice. The red sauce was delicious and the cheese was of high quality! David Portnoy – El Presidente needs to try this hole in the wall!

Hands down, best pizza! I always enjoy a margarita pizza and Genoveses does not disappoint! Sauce is perfectly flavored, toppings are plentiful, and crust is cooked to perfection. This is my second time here because I couldn’t stop thinking about how delicious it was the first time around. We also got a cannoli and their banana pudding cheesecake! Wow!

I have tried genoveses a few times over the last few years. I do want to say regardless of the 2 star review, the staff including our waitresses have always been super sweet, attentive and nice. Service is great. However, this go around we went for dinner. My Italian wedding soup was very blank and my chicken parm was over cooked and rubbery. My family did have a calzone and the shrimp
Special and they did like theirs. Mine not so much. The bread however is hot and fresh and that is a positive.
One big negative was that while sitting in the font dining room a roach ran across the floor and was stomped by the bus boy. I understand that it’s Florida but it did not help my dining experience. My family was enjoying their dinner so I didn’t want to bring up to the staff or say anything to them as they were enjoying. Additionally the bus boy killed it so no reason to make more a scene. But I hope that management sees this review and gets some help in there.
