Genova Italian Restaurant is an absolute gem. The food tastes like true home-cooked Italian comfort—rich, flavorful, and made with the kind of care you only get from a family-owned kitchen. The service is second to none; warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from the moment you walk in.
If you’re looking for authentic Italian done right, this spot is a must-try. Every visit feels like you’re being invited to someone’s home for a meal, and it never disappoints. Highly recommended!

OMG the owner is hilarious and an amazing woman. The food was great and plentiful. The owner gives you the amazing Italian mom vibe and you can tell she really care about her restaurant and her customers. Definitely worth checking out.

I don’t normally give 5 stars but this place is a stand out restaurant. From the tasty fresh garlic rolls and basalmic dipping sauce to the hot lasagna. And the owner is one classy lady who really takes pride in her food. This is a must stop off the interstate.

If you haven’t been to Genova Italian Restaurant in Newton, Ks, you’re seriously missing out! The atmosphere is absolutely amazing–warm, inviting, and full of charm. The owner is a total hoot–so friendly and full of personality. She truly knows how to take care of her guests and makes the whole experience feel personal and special. From the moment you walk in, you feel like family.
The food was absolutely delicious. I had the Genova Tour, which came with a piece of lasagna, chicken parmigiana, and fettuccine alfredo–all of it was fabulous. Their warm rolls with the dipping sauce were a delightful start to the meal. Everyone in our group loved their dishes, and even the sliced Italian sausage appetizer sautéed in olive oil, garlic and basil hit the spot. Every bite was bursting with flavor.
Highly recommend this place if you are anywhere near Newton. A true hidden gem!

Super tasty food, cozy little restaurant. Just wish it was in Wichita instead of tucked away in Newton. Prices a bit high, but portions are excellent.

a friend told me about this place. definitely worth the drive up from Wichita! fantastic Italian food. Rosie the owner came by our table and chatted with us for 20 minutes…friendly, fun-loving, welcoming. Restaurant itself was plain, clean, nice diner-type place. Not fancy. But the food was very good. And the homemade bread they brought out at first…wow! Definitely going back.

Genova’s is consistently fantastic. People drive from all over to enjoy Rosie’s entrees. I ordered the Pasta Sampler – and it’s always delicious. It comes out blistering hot, so it normally needs about 5 minutes to cool – but the flavor is outstanding.

Great service and delicious piping hot Italian cuisine. If I could, I’d buy them a new upscale building. This place is a treasure!
