It has been a long time since I had geno’s pizza & today was the reminder why… My pizza was older than Betty White and like a dry hard brick. My salad was DISGUSTING… I cannot believe they thought it was acceptable to serve food this old to a customer. I couldn’t eat it, I was afraid of food poisoning. As a neurodivergent with sensory issues, looking at this food made me physically ill and its enough to make me craw out of my skin— its clear business has lost the basic essentials of a pizzeria. I can make better food from dumpster diving. Im wondering if they need a call on them to the health department…

I readily admit I am a pizza snob. I have extremely high standards when it comes to pizza which obviously plays a huge part in my pizza reviews.
I’ll start with the service: The staff in the Van Buren location is always friendly and attentive. No service issues at all. Five stars for service.
On to the pizza – We went for dinner so the pizza buffet was not available. Instead, we ordered a large pepperoni pizza. It came with 6 pretty sizable slices which the two of us polished off no problem. The pizza came right from the oven so it was as hot and as fresh as you could get it. It was good but not great. It had an nice thin layer of sauce and a decent layer of cheese. Maybe a little skimpy on the pepperoni but there was enough to make sure each slice had some.
For Arkansas, I’d say this pizza is good. It seems like most of the pizza places in this area use the same dough and the same ingredients so all the pizzas taste the same. That being said, if you’re in the mood for pizza, Geno’s is not a bad option.

We looked online last night, 12-6-24, to see the hours of operation…which said y’all were open until 10:00. We stopped by at 8:00 pm only to meet a family who also wanted pizza, whom informed me that the lobby was locked. The open sign was on, lights were on and there was a vehicle in the back where employees park. I was very disappointed, and annoyed. We were getting ready for a trip today and were planning on ordering 4 pizzas, two for dinner and then two to take with us on the trip.
I have a suggestion. How about someone take accountability and change the information online so it actually reflects how the store operates. Oh, and you may also want to check to make sure your prices are correct too!

Several times we have visited the VB Genos. I regret it every time!!! As a busy mom we frequently make trips through the drive through and 9/10 times we are asked to wait 10 or so minutes for our order (which is also a slice of cheese and a slice of pepperoni) there are never more than 1 or 2 people there so I’m confused at why there is never pizza and we always have to wait.
