No frills here. If you are needing glitz and glamor, this is not for you. But it is perfect for needing a pull-off-the-highway, all needs met, full of hospitality place for the night. Staff were so accommodating and the food at the Genoa Cafe was excellent. BEST roast beef sandwich I’ve ever had.

Dropped in for lunch while driving up the i-70, we were just before opening but the owner very kindly opened early for us. Great burgers, fries and onion rings. Service was friendly and efficient. Will definitely be back if we’re ever passing by again. Maybe even make a slight detour for it!

Stopped to rest up from traveling, this cafe had exceptional food and service. If you like small town hospitality, make this stop! Food was fresh and quickly delivered. Overall environment was really fun. It was a perfect laid back place to unwind while playing some pool, listening to music and having a few beers at the connected bar.

Great little gem in a special small town. We ate and had a couple drinks at the Cafe when we were staying in the campground. Haden was so friendly and makes some delicious food and adult beverages. We had his roast beef sandwiches that were perfect! I love the atmosphere here and wish we were staying longer. I hope we get a chance to return someday. It is great to find a place that makes you feel good.

One of the best times of my life at this cafe. Camped at his campgrounds and took a trip a few steps of the road to his cafe and this place is a straight VIBE! I can’t explain how amazing it was. Free pool, darts, clean bathrooms and cheap beer. He treated us all like family and our time couldn’t have been better spent. He let us stay well past closing time because we were having such a good time. Something he said will stick with me “This place was built for you, have good time.” I can’t wait to come back. Please don’t judge this small town, this cafe is so full of personality.

It is nice to get off of I 70 and smell some fresh air. This is a lesser known beautiful part of Colorado and there are extremely nice people that live in the high plains. Due to time constraints we actually did not have time to enjoy a meal here, but the place looked very well maintained and I look forward to trying in the future.

You walk in here, you’re family! Just had a great burger and onion rings for lunch. Super convienent, right off I-70. Hayden’s story is really inspiring, definitely take him up on a conversation if he has time. Would for sure stop in here on road trips in the future!

After being on the road for 7 days, we got tired of eating at fast food places and this cafe just happened to be the closest place to eat when we got hungry. Don’t let the looks of the cafe fool you (it feels like you’re entering someone’s house – not much advertisement). The place just opened 5 months ago, very clean, decor simple and modest, I thought the hat collection on the wall was cool. I found that the place had EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE and EXCELLENT FOOD which is what matters the most. Made me feel like I’m home (except my mom can’t make biscuits that taste that good!). Very very happy we decided to stop here. I wish them best of luck!

Husband and harvest guys where starving and before I headed in I called to make sure they were open. They actually weren’t open even though hours here said they were.
I explained I was getting food for our crew and didn’t know where to go. He fired up the griddle and made the most delicious thick fresh cheese burgers, potato salad, Parmesan fries and made sure we had everything we needed!
If in doubt give him a call and if he can make you a meal I bet he would in a heartbeat!

Genoa Cafe’ is a great respite from the hustle and bustle of Interstate 70. Food is fresh and selection is decent. Dining area is being expanded. I would recommend this stop at Exit 371!
