I found this spot on Google while visiting Charlotte. I did not realize it was in a food hall. No biggie but parking in the lot across the way was pricey. I learned after the fact you can be validated if eating in the food hall and park in the garage next door. So if/when I’m visiting again, I will definitely do that! As for the pizza, Google DID NOT LIE! We had 2 pizzas- Chicken Parm and 1/2 cheese 1/2 pepperoni. The Chicken Parm is INCREDIBLE. So full of flavor and definitely not what I was expecting. The other pizza was great too but I’m still dreaming of the Chicken Parm. Fresh, hot, crisp. The crust was top notch. A friend who lives in NC said he’s been looking for a good pizza for 5+ years and has not found anything comparable so I’m glad that my quick trip to Charlotte helped him find a new spot he can frequent.

If you’re looking for truly exceptional gluten-free pizza, this is the place. Hands down, the best gluten-free crust I’ve ever had; thick, flavorful, and satisfying in a way that just doesn’t exist anywhere else. Most gluten-free crusts are thin and flimsy, but theirs is a game-changer.
The pizza itself is absolutely delicious, and the team behind it is just as amazing. One time, my order came out missing the toppings I requested. On a busy night with a 30-minute wait, they rushed out a fresh pizza without hesitation. That level of service is rare and speaks volumes about how much they care about their customers.
My fiancé orders the regular crust, and he loves it too. So whether you’re gluten-free or not, you can’t go wrong here. They know what they’re doing, and I recommend them to anyone who loves great pizza.

Located in a kitschy bohemian food court in uptown Charlotte. The pizza was good, but missed expectations given the high rating on Google. I had a plain pepperoni. Generally crispy, but foldable crust, the dough and sauce had good flavor. It tasted fresh and the price was fair for this style and quality. A 10 inch might be good for 2 people if you had a salad or another side, but I put away the whole thing and washed it down with a beer from the tap across the court. No major complaints, just not worth of 5 stars.

First time trying Geno D’s and I ordered delivery instead of going to Seventh Street Market. They had a buy one get one special, which made it an easy decision. I ordered chicken & onion and beef & mushroom pizzas. Both were really good. The flavors worked well together, the toppings were generous, and everything arrived hot. Total came to around $40, with the BOGO deal. Solid first experience and I’d definitely order again.

Epic Pizza. The dough, sauce, and cook are outstanding. Charlotte should talk about this place. And it’s not horrible that you can have an amazing beer or some wine and along with some regional cheese or hand made pasta in the same space.
But you haven’t had pizza until you’ve tried the Veggie. Sounds crazy. It’s not. Seriously one of my top 5 pizzas ever. Really appreciate it. A diversity of veggies, cooked perfectly and seasoned exceptionally.

Fantastic pizza and great overall experience! The crust is perfectly baked, the sauce is flavorful, and the toppings are fresh and generous. Every slice is hot, cheesy, and satisfying. Geno’s has some of the best pizza I’ve ever had—truly amazing, 5/5. However, I did have a couple of issues with the service.
When my family and I were waiting in line, the young woman at the register was focused on chatting with the customer ahead of us. She noticed us, but didn’t acknowledge us until after that interaction ended. When it was finally our turn, she rushed through our order even though there was no one behind us, which made us feel dismissed.
The pizza itself was wonderful—fresh, flavorful, and absolutely worth the hype. Unfortunately, after eating, we went to another nearby shop to get drinks, and the staff there validated our parking. They explained that all shops in the area are supposed to validate parking for customers, which did not happen at Geno’s.
Overall: 5/5 pizza, but the customer service needs improvement. I hope the staff experience can be fixed to match the quality of the food.

Tried the vegan Grandma pizza during vegfest. The crust and sauce were amazing. They use violife cheese which is not good at all. Hopefully they will look at another dairy free cheese. The cashier wasn’t rude but she wasn’t as nice as the owners daughter that usually helps me.

Geno D’s is one of the best places I’ve ever had pizza or pie(as Gena the owner calls it) at. She is a fantastic person that serves the freshest food that is made daily. I will definitely make this a regular spot to stop at if and when I’m around Charlotte area. Gena and her staff are some of the friendliest people. They always serve everyone with a smile. I highly recommend everyone to stop in and enjoy their great food.

I met the daughter of the owner and she was super sweet and gave us a free grandmas pizza! This was my first visit and I was pleasantly surprised by not only the flavors and different options but the customer service. I ordered the calzone and the large cheese pizza and it was so good I had to stop arguing with my bf lol. They are family owned and have one of the best pizzas I’ve had thus far in Charlotte. Please go visit, you won’t be disappointed!!!!
