Great interactive experience with a build-your-own bowl concept — choose from lots of fresh proteins and veggies and have it wok-grilled to order. Flavors were bold and satisfying, though service and wait times varied. Portion sizes was great. Staff was great specially Jen!

This is my second time here and both times the service was amazing. We had the same waitress both times and she was very attentive, kind, and positive attitude. Always had a smile on her face. The food is so good and the price is right.

I like the selections that they are supposed to have, and all the ingredients seemed fresh, but they were out of steak, and they don’t even offer a sliced pork option. I would be a regular here if it were not for the lack of pork for the bowls. They have bacon and ham, but no plain pork. The only beef option was marinated beef. Unfortunately, I am not a fan of the marinade. They have an over abundance of chicken though, if that is your thing. Sadly, due to the lack of my favored proteins, beef and pork, I probably won’t be back. On the up side, it was clean and the staff were great. Would recommend if the lack of essential ingredients is not a deal breaker for you.

So happy it’s back in sparks, the cajon chicken is amazing, and my wife loves the lemon chicken. They have a nice variety of vegetables and then the sauces…mmmmmmm. super nice guy who steated us was very welcoming. Full bar is on the way, dont let that stop you from the amazing food they have!

Genghis Grill used to be soooo much better. You used to be able to choose out two starches and the bowls were bigger. The sauces used to taste better and they took away the peanut sauce which a bummer. The service was not good I dont know if the server was new but couldnt handle a few tables time management wise.

We decided to give this new place a shot.
We didn’t even eat because the next table over requested a misrepresented item on the menu to be removed from the bill and I dont know who it was, a manager maybe? I surely hope its a chef who lost his job tonight because he mishandled the issue so poorly that the family walked out without paying at all, and I can’t say I blame them.
How are you going to raise your voice at a patron and say you dont have breaded chicken when its on your menu? And how dare you follow them out of the store.
Not only that, the table behind us walked out because service was so slow they didnt eat.
As a CHEF and someone who has YEARS AND YEARS of restaurant and customer service experience, I wont be back until this business adopts a better appreciation for their customers and will also be telling everyone I know how horrible they are, which is terrible for them because I have a food blog and Im pretty well known in the local Reno food scene.
I will tell you also, if youre thinking about going here, just go up the street 3 minutes to MB Mongolian grill. It’s so good, I hope they put Genghis Grill out of business. And their prices are better.
Also, what’s up with a bacon ranch quesadilla on the menu? Bizarre. Pick a concept.

The owner reached out to me on Facebook, apologized for the experience and offered me and my family a free meal. Though a great gesture, I’m not after free food. He explained that the breaded chicken is no longer available, something the server should have told the customer when it was ordered. It sounds like they updated their online menu but are unable to update the in store menu, maybe a franchise constraint? Not sure. Nonetheless, kitchens run out of stuff, we don’t like it but it happens. Just a little bit of communication can go along way when trying to establish customer expectations. He assured me whatever additional training and disciplinary action that is needed will be taken and I believe him. For this reason, I have updated my review to 2 stars and will return to try the food and give my final. Ill give it a few weeks. Goodluck.

Don’t know what happened to them after moving to sparks, but the food is terrible now, got our order wrong for a pickup, and the food has no flavor and is bland. They use to be good before they shut down the damonte location. Definitely not worth the money anymore for the quality.
