We stopped by for a quick meal and this lovely restaurant did not disappoint. We shared the seafood platter and it was plenty for 2 people. I usually opt out of fried food but this one was worth a once in a while meal to experience the southern seafood cuisine

What a great place staff is really friendly everything is homemade. I got gumbo it was amazing. Pimento cheese fries were great first time I ever had something like that. I would love to go back but we just stopped on our way while traveling. But seriously if you are in the area try it out.

Found this place because I was looking for some flounder and saw the pictures of rhe wings. We got there late and they were still accommodating and we did not feel rushed.
They are family owned and they cook with love.
The wings were crispy and seasoned well. We had the jerk rub, lemon pepper, Carolina gold and bourbon.
Wife and I had the flounder platter with red rice, mac and cheese, corn bread, string beans and cucumbers and tomatoes salad.
Everything was so good felt like home cooking.
My brother had the shrimp platter and he loved his food as well.
We will make this a regular when we are back in South Carolina.
We definitely recommend this place when you are in the Charleston area!

We were tourists passing through the area, and we were on a mission to find food. We were so hungry. We almost missed this place that was tucked in the very back of this strip center. It was only the sign “restaurant” at the road that caught our attention. We had no idea what kind of restaurant. Well, we found out: Seafood!
The portion sizes are large and delicous. It only took a matter of minutes to cook up our order fresh. I had the fish & chip basket, which included four large pieces of fresh haddock, french fries, and hushpupies. My wife had the fried shrimp. Everything was so good.

Yes and yes, we were on our way to Charleston for a couple of days and this place hit our radar. Damn good food, good service and some of the friendliest people around. I think we met most of the family and we could tell that the food was made with love and the blueberry pie was unlike any pie I have ever had, that alone is worth a trip back. If you want to feel like you walked into the place you always knew was out there but never found then here it is. Love, food to die for and you just don’t want to leave. Also, we wanted for nothing during our visit. I just can’t say enough great stuff about Genesis!

Such a hidden gem! It’s just a bit past The Food Lion at the intersection of Hwys 17 & 165. My friend and I each had the “Eggs and Rice” dish that was loaded with shrimp and sausage. Light, flavorful and a giant portion. And get this… the price? $11.11.
We each took a piece of homemade cake home and all in it was just over$20.00 – with leftovers for tomorrow.

Genesis Le Bleu Waters is the real deal. The seafood rice is packed with crab, shrimp, oysters, and scallops — no skimping. Fried flounder is crispy and fresh, not greasy. Sides like mac & cheese and red rice hit the spot. The staff is friendly, and the vibe is relaxed. It’s a solid choice for good food and good people.
