Original Review from 2nd visit:
Really want to like this place, especially since it’s the only weekend breakfast place in a 15? mile radius during the winter (if someone knows of something else please share).
This restaurant really has no motivation to improve given the captive audience with few other options. Unfortunately it successfully motivates me to cook breakfast at home next weekend.
One bright spot was the hostess, who was doing at least triple duty, which was appreciated but painful to witness, such a hard worker will burn out quickly in that environment.
The server was perfunctory and clearly rushing from one thing to another.
The food was “meh” and the coffee was disappointingly bitter.
All in all an underwhelming experience left with the majority of my entree still on the plate because I couldn’t tell if it was off or if the bitterness of the coffee had thrown off my senses.

Review Update 4/14/2024:
After taking a break, gave the restaurant one more chance and this will sadly be the last.

I officially miss the Dennys with the broken furnace to this.

The menu has been changed for the worse, service was slow, and there was no hostess today.

Waited 1 hour for undercooked eggs with the eggs florentine… then the hard chunks of uncrumbled feta, canned black olives and cold fries & pita with the gyro platter were a final straw.

My dining companion said “We should have gone to The Barn” and I agree.

Same owners of Rancho Viejo but
Not what I expected, prices are reasonable. Food was ok, there was this one waitress/server who touched his nose multiple times as if he had the sniffles. I went there one time and sadly won’t return back. Spent roughly $30 for 2 People (Lunch time). This was an experience I wouldn’t want no one to endure.

Very nice setup still looks like Rancho Viejo on the outside but the inside is very nice looking and very clean, food took a while to get out but it was worth it pancakes were perfect eggs had a very nice yellow and tasted great, omelette was very good lots of flavor with the cheese and tomatoes, and the biscuits and gravy were very good with lots of sauce. Lastly the woman aubrianna was very friendly and talked a lot with us about the restaurant and how it has been going and how everything is being ran. 10/10 Very nice cheap place for breakfast

Wonderful food!!. I got the country omelet with side of fresh fruit and my sister got the stuffed pancakes, with banana and pecan. I was all so fresh tasting. Would highly recommend this place!!!

We’ve tried this place a few times since they opened and have always had slow service and disorganized service, but there aren’t a lot of breakfast options in the area. Today was the last time though. Besides the poor service, I was brought a sticky spoon covered in lint on top of my coffee cup. Gross. We paid for the drink and left without waiting for our food.

Where’s the sausage?
Sausage Gravy and Biscuits. How you prepare and serve this dish tells me so much about what I should expect from the rest of your offerings.

I placed my order, on the menu for $10.99. I have never been so disappointed with this dish as I was this morning. The gravy was plentiful, however fairly bland and there were a lonely 6 small pieces of cut up sausage link in it…1/2 of a sausage link. Maybe. The biscuits weren’t exceptional, but at least they weren’t Pillsbury.

The service was good and the staff friendly, so they do have that going for them. I will give them another shot but I will have to lower my expectations.

Prices weren’t completely outrageous but portions were a tad smaller then I had expected. I got the chicken caesar wrap which was pretty good and my husband got a bacon cheeseburger he said it was pretty average, not terrible just as you would expect it. Our bill came to $41.21 not too bad I suppose.
Our waitress was kind and professional.

I had the chili, and my wife the breakfast platter. (That we shared) Chili was really good, but the onions weren’t cooked all the way. Very good amount of spiciness. The breakfast platter was very good. I think the put vanilla into the French toast.

Excellent menu, renovated and clean, and experienced wait staff. The previous reviews here that give a bad rating are invalid, it was over slammed on the opening day and don’t portray what this Diner actually is.
