Called minutes after opening, and the wait time for takeout was over 2 hours. Food is half decent but who wants to wait over two hours for takeout. God forbid you hire additional staff.

Wow it has been a long time since I enjoyed a nice Chinese meal. A mom & pop place where you order off the menu. No buckets of buffet food here! They even make their own plum sauce & sweet & sour. No comparison to the purchased sauces in most places. I traveled +70 km to go here & they did not disappoint.

We ordered at 5:30 and by 6:30 we still had no food. After asking multiple times when we would get our food we got no answer. We ended up asking for it to go and we were told our entire order got missed. Will not be coming back here, don’t waster your time.

Dined in on a Friday night. The food was tasty, and the staff was friendly, but the service could use some improvement. It seemed like the staff was more focused on takeout orders than attending to seated diners. Our server never checked if we needed another drink, and when we asked for water, it never arrived. I also noticed that empty tables with half-eaten food were left uncleared for over 30 minutes after diners left. A few tables were seated but then seemingly forgotten by the servers.
I hope the dine-in experience improves in the future.

Don’t order takeout. It’s an hour after my $100 order was supposed to be ready and I’m still sitting here in their foyer waiting for it. The restaurant is practically empty. This isn’t the first time but I keep trying because I want so badly to support local. 🙁

Placed an order for takeout at 5:35pm told it would be ready for 6:15pm I arrived paid for it at 6:15 and then sat waiting for it for 20 minutes. The real kicker was someone arrived after 6:15 and had their meal on the table 5 minutes before my take out arrived.

Clean, kinda expensive, $14 p.p but it’s Stratford, so what isn’t expensive… Slow service , 32 minutes and no food… No refills on coffee, this place is getting worse the longer I sit here, we went from 3 star to one, 90 minutes to get basic dinner for 4, and it really wasn’t very good… Never again

My wife and I ate there tonight, dining in. The restaurant wasn’t full and we were told to help ourselves to a clean table. We waited 5-10 minutes before grabbing a waitress walking by to get a menu while others seated after us were being served. Things went downhill from there. The waitress was, I expect, inexperienced, poorly trained and generally inattentive.
My water glass, brought before ordering, was quickly drained and never refilled the rest of the dinner.
We asked for tea with our meal and were given tea pots with lukewarm water. We had to wait to get them replaced with hot water for the tea.
She brought out our egg roll and spring roll, but again, we had to wait 5 minutes for any plum sauce. My spring roll was down to the last bite before the sauce arrived. The spring roll was oily but hot.
The main course came out with the chicken chow mein and sweet and sour pork being hot and fresh while the fried rice seemed like it had been sitting for a while. The rice was barely warm.
The restaurant was not super busy so there was no excuse for the poor service. The food was edible but not enjoyable.
The restaurant is not what it once was and dining out is too expensive these days to be patronizing restaurants of this caliber.

Food was okay but service was not. Waited about an hour and thirty minutes for our food, and some others around us were also waiting for a long time. Another group with the same number of people came in about 20 minutes after us and received their food about a half hour before we did for whatever reason. Had to flag down the waitress to pay since she rarely came by and didn’t provide any updates about why it was taking a long time to get the food. There were some others in there that looked annoyed and ready to leave because it was taking so long. We didn’t have anywhere to be so we didn’t mind waiting too much but be aware that it could take an extra hour beyond what you’d normally spend at a restaurant because of the wait. They do a lot of take out orders too so that slows down the time it takes to get your food if you dine in. Food was okay, but we won’t be back just because of the wait time and service.
