Gene’s Place has been the neighborhood bar in historic Brewery Gulch since 1948. After being dormant for decades, this iconic bar was reopened in 2023. We are now open seven days a week, with full service craft cocktails, liquor, wine, and beer. We also serve there best grilled cheese and pickle sandwich in town! Loved Gene’s Place! We happened to be there on a weeknight and they had not one but two local bands playing that night and both were great! The bartenders were nice and we liked our drinks. Wish they had more food so we didn’t have to leave for dinner but we’d come back anytime for drinks! Gene’s was one of the highlights of our visit to Bisbee!

You can’t beat Gene’s. With its long bar and floor to ceiling windows, between the pool table and the stage for live music, Gene’s has everything you want in the quintessential American bar. It’s perfect. I don’t dare say anything more.

This is my favorite bar in Bisbee. There’s great lighting, it’s clean and open and the vibe is light hearted, comfortable, and friendly. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the gulch. I went during the day and had a bodacious bearded bartender named Kenny. I asked if he could make me a margarita. He made some tequila suggestions and even let me sip some to try before he made the drink! I didn’t end up liking them (I don’t really do alcohol) and he offered to make me a virgin margarita. DUDE, it was amazing! He fresh squeezed lemons, limes, and an orange right there in front of me — no funky mixers. He also made me laugh and was good to my girlfriends I was with. I just love coming here for that old school feeling of being welcome and amongst friends. Definitely go to Genes, and if you see Kenny, give him a high five!
