Ok. Have to say, the ” Fish” from Fish & Chips, was very disappointing. I’m sorry, but so many choices of placed, and to use this type of prebreaded fish that has hardly any fish. Im going not say anything else negative. The baked cod was good, the beef roll very good. We had to go order, The service, was great, waitress answered all questions, had not been into Genes in years. Will I be back, order this again? No.

We got a 16 inch deep dish with sausage and mushrooms… The cheese was exquisite and delicious of course I would love more sausage but in the future I might order extra sausage instead mushrooms. I also think the deep dish might be a better choice in a 14-in. But that’s because this pizza was so big and so heavy, but cooked to perfection.
The 16 inch thin crust we ordered was delightful. We got Italian beef, bacon, and pineapple ( otherwise known as a beefy Hawaiian) and it was so gorgeous and it was so delicious.
the crust on both pizzas light and a bit airy but sturdy. Everything was ready at the time it was promised. Prices are comparable to the other non-chain pizza restaurants in the area.

I used to eat there weekly but not anymore. Ever since Covid, it’s not the same eating there. The food is not as good and the portions seem smaller. The prices are really high now too. The waitress is excellent. Very good service, that’s about the only thing that is great there. No salad bar either. It’s almost like they don’t care anymore.

We ordered a 20 inch sausage pizza ,Saturday March 30th. The order was ready on time and hot out of the oven. However when we got home and opened the box we were disappointed in the amount of sausage that was on the pizza. Approximately half of the slices had nothing but cheese. Genes was always a great pizza, it’s a shame the cost of ingredients has come to this.

My husband and I ate at this restaurant last night. Very disappointed. I ordered a chopped steak with grilled onions. The “chopped steak ” was an obvious processed patty that was obviously cooked from frozen. It has a freezer burn taste. My husband had a fish sandwich which was also obviously a processed perfectly square piece of breaded fish.
We would have had better food at a fast food joint for a lot less money.
The restaurant has a dark and dreary atmosphere. The waitress asked us if we needed a flashlight to read the menu.
My advice, skip Gene’s and walk down the block to Bull Moose . The food there is 100% better!
