I recently ordered from their website and I loved how easy the site was to navigate. It allows you the option to leave a note for your order as well as select anything you want to add like additional meat or seafood.
The delivery arrived prior to the expected time and everything was hot and fresh. I ordered the shrimp Florentine with extra shrimp and it was very good! My husband got a pizza and said it was also very good.
I look forward to trying more dishes from Genaro’s!

My take-out order was a complete waste of money. The shakes ($12 for two smalls) were like water, even though I arrived before the order was ready, and I don’t mean they were just melted. They tasted like ice that had been melted. Plus they gave me the wrong pizza—the exact opposite of what I was in the mood for. I ordered a margherita because I wanted more red sauce and not too much cheese. Instead they gave me… I don’t know what this was supposed to be. I don’t see it on the menu. It was all cheese, zero sauce, topped with cherry tomatoes, which I don’t like on pizza. $22 for a medium. They were closing in 15 minutes so I couldn’t even go back. It’s too bad.

I ordered a clam pie and not only was it beautifully cooked and bubbly but it was so delicious!! It had just the right amount of clams and garlic plus the crust is so tender. I absolutely love this place! With all the pizza places around here this is my favorite!!

Only reason for a four star is because it was our first time ordering, hoping to bring that to a five star over the next few orders. Ordered a small pepperoni pizza and a calzone, plain bc I like to try the cheese mix to see if it’s anything like my family would do. Pizza crust was fantastic. Pizza a little greasy for me but not a big deal, I mean, pepperoni right. Cooked perfectly. Calzone was a little blah but the amount of cheese was good, not over the top. Again, the crust for my liking was fantastic again. The sauce was a bit thin, but reminded me of how my dad makes his sauce, not too heavy. All in all, I look forward to trying more things. Good to know during the summer the kids and I can take a short walk for some good pizza.

Inaccurate photos on site. Margherita pizza smothered in cheese and bland overcooked tomatoes and without any sauce. Buffalo chicken pizza had tiny hard pieces of chicken with the texture of my cat’s freeze dried treats and so salty. Nothing seemed fresh. The house pizza was alright. Thought it would be fine for a convenient close spot but is so below in quality compared to any downtown New Haven spot and yet still as expensive.
