Delicious food! Great service! Will definitely be back!
The wings were very flavorful, the yellow curry was amazing, and the chicken house fried rice was tasty. Loved how fresh the mango sticky rice was. Lastly the Thai Tea was delicious, lots of flavor as well as I’ve had bland ones before, this was great!
Also week days they have a $3 Thai tea and spring roll combo add on to any entree, totally worth it!

The food here is delicious and very affordably priced. We tried the chicken larb (no spice since we have kids), tom kha soup, coconut shrimp, beef pad Thai, and mango sticky rice. Everything tasted fresh and it seems like they use good quality ingredients. Everything was cooked well and seasoned well. We will definitely be coming back!

I like how you can order online directly on their website. Pretty easy to navigate and can omit or add proteins or sides to it. Pickup was a breeze, food was ready in 15 mins.
Pad Thai Chicken : the noodles had a good texture and the dish itself was not dry. It tasted really good and was cooked to my liking! One of my gripes with Pad Thai is when a place does not add enough sauce to the point where the noodles are stuck to each other. Gen Thai has a good ratio of noodles and sauce. Very Delicious!
Pad See Ew: this was my favorite! The noodles were cooked perfectly and the sauce they used was so good! Perfectly sauced again and the beef was cooked to my liking. Would get again!

I heard about this place on lakeside fb page. I got the drunken noodles with the combination meats and a Thai ice tea. Everything was awesome except the chicken. The chicken in the noodles eas very dry. I just took it out. I also asked for a spice of 6 and got a 1..lol
The place is new. They were slammed last night. I get it. My drunken noodles were great. The best part… the fish. The fish made up for the chicken. Freakin awesome. The Thai tea was great too.

I got the yellow curry, fresh spring rolls, pad sew ew, and yellow curry with chicken. The spring rolls 10/10…their peanut sauce is so delish. The veggies were a little undercooked in curry but still tasty. I would highly recommend. They were also fast and incredibly friendly at pick up .

Finally, a descent Thai restaurant in East county.
Food and service were great, portions were actually pretty good. Soda is in cans, coke products, including dr pepper.
Of note, everything is served on paper plates and plastic ware. I only mention this because the thick paper will absorb liquids over time….which is why I think one review said the pad Thai was dry….I asked for extra sauce, and by the time I was half way through it wasnt …the plate wast soggy or limp…but it did take up some of the sauce ….sauce was very good….so extra wasn’t a bad thing.
Place has limited seating. Service is order at counter and they bring the food. And you bus your table. Just FYI, hey it lowers costs due to the high California labor costs. Place was very clean and nice. Nothing to get excited about …well the food, sure.
We all agreed we would definitely be back.

Gen Thai in Santee just opened today, and I think I might have been their very first customer! You’d never know it was their first day — everything was running smoothly, the service was friendly and attentive, and the food came out hot and perfectly cooked.
We ordered the Crispy Basil Chicken, Pad See Ew, and Pra Ram. Every dish was packed with flavor, perfectly balanced, and the portions were very generous. The Crispy Basil Chicken in particular was outstanding — light, crisp, and full of fresh basil and spice.
The restaurant is clean, welcoming, and everything from food quality to service felt dialed in already. I’m seriously impressed and excited to have another great Thai option in Santee. Can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu!

First time here, got the drunken noodles with tofu. Perfect amount of food for me, oyster sauce had good flavor and they used just the right amount so the noodles weren’t sitting in a bath. Tofu and veggies had a nice crispiness to them without being too dry. Definitely one of the better thai restaurants in east county.

I enjoyed a nice plate of Drunken Noodles from this Thai eatery. Since it was during lunch hours, I was able to add three egg rolls and a soda for only $1 more.
I asked for the drunken noodles with chicken and a level five on the heat scale for $13.95 plus tax. The noodles were very tasty but the heat level was weak for a level five medium. The chicken was tender and tasty. I liked that the green and red peppers still had a good crunch value or texture.
The egg rolls were good. They were tasty and crispy but the veggies inside were a little on the mushy side. I do wish they would offer hot chili paste at the tables to enjoy with your meal.
The you lady at the counter was nice and helpful with the menu. They offer inside seating only.
