Pretty cool experience, your in for a pretty good time if your willing to cook your own meats, not to say that they dont have some stuff they make in the kitchen like appetizers and a few other things. They have a large menu, its a flat rate for the meats and its all you can eat. And the drinks come at a decent speed. Seems to be plenty of seating. We went there on a Friday and it wasn’t too packed at all. We didnt have to wait either. Always nice to get seated right away. Atmosphere is cool, kind feels like your eating at a club. So all in all I have nothing but good things to say about it.

Today, Tuesday, I went to dinner at a place called Gen Korean BBQ House. The restaurant is amazing and the atmosphere is great. The food was absolutely delicious, and I honestly loved everything I tried.
The only downside is that they seem to be understaffed, so the servers were very busy and service was a bit slow at times. However, the quality of the food more than made up for it.
We paid $77 plus tip for two people, and overall it was a great experience. I would definitely come back.

Do not go there for lunch! You will not get served. And you will be there well over an hour and a half waiting for your food. Went to lunch last Friday and there were 8 tables filled with customers and only one server. The restaurant manager stayed in the back the whole time and did not even attempt to help the one server. Asked for the condiments they serve 5 times and did not ever get them, waited for my drinks and never got a refill when glasses were empty. Had to ask to have the grill replaced and finally got it done. The empty dishes were never removed from our table. They just got stacked up and when new plates of meat were brought to the table , the server Trenton just placed the new plates on top of the dirty dishes. The overall experience was not pleasant. The manager never came by to ask how things were. The restaurant needs a professional restaurant manager who knows what he is doing, has customer service in mind and knows how to schedule the servers for the restaurant. I have had great experiences at dinner but will never go back there for lunch!

Today we celebrated our son’s birthday at Gen Korean Barbecue. We were very impressed with our waiter, Matthew. You were the best. We really appreciate you today. The food here is delicious and the meat is of good quality. We have had Yakiniku in Thailand and Japan. This is a very good restaurant in America. We will definitely come back.

What a surprise we had! We wanted to try something new. I wasn’t a fan of the cook it yourself places, but this place is starting to make me rethink that ideology. The food was so flavorful and the whole experience was so memorable! Loved everything about this place.

I’ve come here a few times before and I’ve never had issues but this time I’m just disgusted. I’ve been here for maybe 20 minutes and I’ve only ordered two meats. Beef bulgogi, and wagyu. I noticed as I was eating my wagyu that there was little black hairs all on the plate. I wasn’t able to get a photo before they took my plate but then I tried to just keep eating, but by this point I was already paranoid about hairs, upon closer inspection I see a white dog like hair in the rice??? This just disgusted me and I don’t think I’ll be able to find myself eating here again. I was hoping considering I barely ate anything and didn’t even finish my meats I could get atleast half off of my 50 DOLLAR dinner. I even attached a photo of my food which I didn’t finish a single dish, but no. I get a 6$ discount for poor health standards and low quality services. Will not be coming back.

Went yesterday for good food and drinks. Always love getting the red wine samgyubsal! Our waitress, Amanda, was very sweet and was quick about getting anything we needed. I will say that the downtown location is a bit better when it comes to the actual cooking, instead of having to wait and change out the burner every now and then they just provide you with an onion to get rid of the gunk. But other than that, great place!

This is one of my favorite spots to eat for family occasions or even a date with your spouse. The food is amazing and tasty. I’d recommend starting with the thin sliced meat options since they cook faster. The thicker meat takes a really long time to cook, so if you’re hungry, you should start with the thin sliced meat so you don’t have to wait so long to eat. The price is a bit high per person, but I think it’s worth it. When days are busy, it takes a while for your server to come back and check on you. The ambience is nice. It’s a low light area and definitely adds a romantic vibe for a date. Hope this is helpful!

Amazing food! They have an array of different proteins, appetizers, sauces and drinks! Quyen is a phenomenal waiter taking a page from SpongeBob’s repertoire of showcasing fine dining skills and breathing. Request her if you want a glorious dining experience. I will definitely be back at least once a month.

A few months ago, I went out to dinner with my family. The food itself was fine. However, the heat for grilling the meat was far too low, and we ended up wasting a lot of time trying to cook it. It was so weak that we suspected something might be wrong with the grill, so we asked the waitress if it might be malfunctioning. Without really checking, she told us that it was normal. Brisket is a cut of meat that should start cooking almost immediately once it is placed on the grill. However, it took us more than 10 minutes just to cook it. By the time the meat was finally ready, we had lost our appetite from waiting. As a result, we were not able to enjoy what should have been a pleasant family dinner.
