This dining experience did not fully meet my personal expectations. Most of the meats were pre-marinated, with flavors leaning heavily toward sweet and salty, which made it difficult to taste the natural flavor of the meat. The Beef Bulgogi was served in a minced form, which differed from what I am used to. The Premium Steak had a high fat ratio, with limited lean meat.
During peak hours, service felt understaffed, and grill changes required waiting. We were informed that a raw radish slice could be used to clean the grill, which was unfamiliar to us.
Overall, the experience did not align with my expectations for Korean BBQ, and the value felt average.

I had a party of 3, we arrived close to 7pm and had no wait time for a table. Our server was very friendly and food came out very quickly. Everything was AMAZING. I really loved how large the menu options were even on the regular dinner menu instead of the premium for the all you can eat. It is a bit cold inside so bring a jacket. Ive been to almost every single korean bqq place in orlando and brevard and this place is far better in my opinion than all of them. I will be back.

Came to try this place since we love these type of restaurants. The ambience is simple and nice. Staff are okay except for 1 lady that wasn’t even our server. (Did not get her name) but she was very helpful.
We did not like the spiked drink we ordered so we asked our server to take it out of the bill but then this lady asked us and offered us to try a different drink instead and the mango sprits she recommended was actually good!
The food was decent. The deep friend mandu was cold inside, the kimchi fried rice was a little mushy, the spiked strawberry lemonade tasted bad but everything else was okay.
Our server was nice but not attentive. Only came to check on us one time, took a long time to change our pan, get our water and to get our second order. I understand that he was busy but we felt rushed when we were ordering.
Not a bad place but probably will just stick back to our favorite place. K-pot.

Only been here 3 times and was disappointed every time.
Lunch and Dinner understaffed
First visit was dinner, not only does it take 10-15 minutes to get started, they messed up an order 3 times and took 25 minutes for it to come out after missing the order the first time, spilling it the second time, and then after 25 minutes to finally come out.
Drinks took forever to refill, 10-12 minute wait.
Second time for lunch. There was 3 to 4 other tables being served by one person. About 10 to 15 minute wait for a response for either drink refills or additional orders.
Third time lunch. Took 10 minutes to get noticed and seated. Left after 18 minutes waiting to be asked what we wanted to drink
Food is great, service isn’t worth the price.
It’s more time and cost effective making an additional 20 minute drive elsewhere than spending an extra hour of wait time just waiting for any service.

I have been here easily 8-10 times now, so I figured I can write an honest review. This place is hands down amazing. The service is always incredible, so easy going yet so amazing at what they do. Nick is by far my favorite server I’ve had here, but truly nobody in this place will give you a bad experience. The meat is delicious, even if you’re not skilled at cooking it, it will come out yummy. The drink is fun and reasonably priced, the appetizers are delicious. I love eating here not just for the delicious selection but for the atmosphere as well. Quickly becoming my top place to eat in Waterford Lakes. I truly can’t think of one negative thing about this place.

You order whatever you want, they bring it right to your table, and you cook it yourself on the built‑in grill. Everything comes out fresh, hot, and perfectly cooked.
They currently offer a $59 per person special that includes food, drinks, and even dessert, all in one price. No worrying about the bill, no surprises — just eat and enjoy.

Server AYA was very rude. We asked her to change our grill pan because she handed us radish with water to clean the grill pan ourselves… and we have been scrubbing the pan with raddish and would not completely clean the pan…. we asked AYA if she could kindly change our pan and rudely said “thats why i gave you the raddish, but yeah i will change it it’s been a long day” hello? learn better customer service and learn to just hold your breath instead of saying something stupid to your customers. She then changes the pan shoves the new one in and instead of slowly letting it sit… she deliberately slams the pan and walk away…. Since then she avoids our side of the table…oh and we waited almost throughout our dinner to get our sodas… if it wasnt for the other waiter NICK who stopped by our table to check on us… we would have never gotten our drinks and spoon because when we told him how long we have been waiting for our drink… he promised us that he would be the one to bring us our drinks and spoon… and he surely did… thanks NICK! THis resataurant needs more like you!!! (Photo shows how raddish was not effective)

Diego, our server, made this experience a wonderful one!! We did the premium menu and it did not disappoint. The Center Cut Marinated Short Rib was a table favorite. Shout out to Diego for quick service, great recommendations and friendly conversation. Definitely will be returning to Gen in the future!

Gen Korean BBQ House has definitely made it into my top 3 favorite Korean food spots. The Premium menu meats are on another level….absolutely amazing! The Kimchi Rice with Cheese was spectacular as well!!!
However, the place has one major flaw
.. ‘The Service’. It’s really bad… although the staff is incredibly friendly and kind, they absolutely need to improve the service. It’s sad because the quality of the food is outstanding, but service is such an important part of the dining experience!!!
We had to ask for the Kimchi Rice four times, and they still ended up bringing plain white rice instead. I had to request the Kimchi Rice again. The Korean Fried Chicken (KFC) also took multiple requests to arrive. I asked for napkins, but they never came. Some dumplings we ordered also never made it to the table. All of these service issues are a big negative.
That said, I don’t want to leave a bad review because everyone was very polite and the food was next level delicious. This place has everything it needs to be a 5-star restaurant, but they really need to work on their service.
Would I go back? Absolutely!!
