I had been wanting to try this place and I finally did. My daughter and I tried the cream bun, strawberry sando, egg sandwich, and mango cheesecake. Both the cream bun and strawberry were sweet and yummy. The egg sandwich was good and would definitely buy again. The mango cheesecake was really good but I’m bias to all things mango. I would say that the crust was a little to hard for my taste by the filling was so yummy. Definitely coming back.

Place has a small parking lot since its facing the alley, but its worth the hype. Great customer service and very friendly, you can tell she loves her business. Has alot of varieties of choices to purchase, the japanese cheesecakes is not fluffy like i had seen in other videos over the internet, but taste is okay. I honestly preferred the coffee roll and gelatos flavors, i might go back to try other pastries. The prices are bit pricey, but then again everything is. If you have a sweet tooth and want to try something different then go for it.

This place is a hidden gem. Their pastries are delicious. The sweetness is so balanced. I can’t even recommend one item. Because every item I have tried from them has been such a pleasant surprise. It has quickly become our favorite spot. If you are hesitant about paying them a visit, I implore you to do yourself a favor and try them out. You will not be disappointed.

Let me start by saying the customer service is the best ive had, very friendly and kind people.

The milk bread is DELICIOUS, the strawberry one is filled with jelly and TASTES SUPER GOOD. Nothing is near this level in the valley. I highly recommend trying these, a little pricy but good.

The drinks are really good as well, better than most of the boba places nearby, they make everything fresh in their store.

The cheesecake was okay, it just tasted like cheese. Its not bad, if it had more flavors (they might) i would say it could definitely be a contender for best product. It tastes wholesome, just not too much flavor. Still recommend to try it.

The other items on the menu look delicious, definitely have a returning customer. Will come back to try all of them. The best japanese style desserts currently in the valley!

This bakery has great potential to be something big. The food has exceptional quality. The owner is super kind and informative.
Cheesecake fits all flavor profiles: eggy, cheesy, and a soft texture.
Cream bun: Delicious! It’s a great treat, soft bun with a rich melty vanilla ice cream center.
Anko butter sandwich: it was okay-ish probably an acquired taste delicacy.
Vanilla gelato: One of the best ones I have ever had! Real vanilla bean, smooth, and not overwhelming sweet
Great place to have a sweet treat in! Highly recommend.

This is one of my absolute favorite places in the RGV. I tried the Hokkaido Custard Cream Bun and it was incredibly delicious. The staff are so kind and friendly, and honestly, all the breads here are just amazing. You can really taste the care they put into everything

Very cool hidden little Japanese bakery, and the owners are super nice and sweet, just like their breads.
This is my second time stopping by and both times I’ve loved what I got. First time I had the matcha bread loaf and it was really sweet and yummy.
This time I got the purple sweet potato. It’s a subtler pastry so if you don’t have a big sweet tooth, I’d definitely recommend this one.
I’m looking forward to trying the Japanese cheesecake next time.

I’m a huge fan of Japanese cheesecake and have tried it all over the country. I usually drive all the way to Brownsville just to get my fix from a little shop that specializes in them. Yesterday was my first visit to The Gelato Station, and although they were sold out of most items, I put in a pre-order for their Japanese cheesecake and the purple yam bread. While I was there, I grabbed a matcha bread and a cream bun—both were phenomenal, especially by Valley standards!

Today, I picked up my pre-order, and I have to say the purple yam bread was exactly what I hoped for—soft, subtly sweet, and unique. The Japanese cheesecake, though, fell a bit flat for me in terms of flavor. As someone who eats a lot of Japanese cheesecake, I wouldn’t judge it based on this one alone—they’re usually much more flavorful.

That said, the quality of everything else I’ve tried makes me want to come back and try more. I highly recommend their cream or custard buns—they’re delicious!

My wife is very particular with her chocolates and pistachio. She loves the Gelato ice-cream I bought. She likes the Thai milk tea. She also like the fluffy cake. I will definitely go back. I also brought 2 of my friends so they can try this wonderful place.
