If you love Italian food you will love this place. The service was right on point and he offered great suggestions. I had the fettuccine Alfredo and had the stuffed shells. Both was hot fresh and great taste. Definitely a must try if you’re in the area.

Really good Italian food! We had the dinner for two so we could sample several things. Then enjoyed some of the gelato afterwards. The service pace was a little fast for date night but could tell the rush was coming.

I had the lobster ravioli and it was scrape the bowl good. My daughter had fettuccine alfredo and she said it was creamy and delicious. My wife had the chicken florentine. The flavor was great however the chicken it self was rubbery. The restaurant took good care of it so just some disappointment.(pasta was excellent) Based on the rest of the meal I feel the chicken was likely a one off. If back in town would definitely eat here again. Almost forgot the side salads were great and fresh.

Lots of sandwich, salad and pasta options for all your food groups desires. I can’t find manicotti anywhere and theirs was really good. My picture doesn’t do it justice. French on soup was good too. They have counter you can pick fresh prepped take and bake meals too. Gelato of course for dessert that is on par with what I had in Italy just a few weeks ago.

If I could give 0 stars here I would do so. I just paid $23 for this: a small bowl of ravioli and a small cup of soup. When I called to talk to them about it, they said I could drive back down from Silverhill and they would give me 2 more ravioli instead of giving me a refund or trying to make things right. This was supposed to be a family member’s birthday dinner, too. The final comment from management was, I’m sorry ma’am I don’t know what to tell you. It’s really sad that some businesses can treat customers like this and that it’s acceptable to charge inflated prices that don’t align with what you actually receive.

Gelato joes always reminds me Lady and the Tramp coming in. It’s a true Italian restaurant that also makes fantastic bushwhackers (the main reason we come)! Their chicken Parmesan is top notch and cannolis are great!

First time here and loved it! We were here for lunch and it was great. The vibe is a little confusing. The outside seems like a fun beach bar vibe, but inside it feels like a sandwich shop, not a somewhat upscale Italian restaurant (which is what I think they are going for). The lunch menu is a little basic. The gelato and dessert options were amazing! And the arrangement of roses for Valentine’s Day was truly gorgeous!

Experience started off great. My son’s spaghetti came out fast, our calamari was good, my Caesar was one of the best I’ve had. But it went downhill with my husbands Philly Cheese steak. It said it had onions, my husband didn’t find any onions. We were told it was cooked into the meat. My husband decided to send it back as he had expected, like all other Philly cs around here, for it to have onions. We asked for a refund for that part, owner tried to only give partial refund. If we didn’t eat it, we should get a full refund. The rest of the food was great, but that PCS was very disappointing. He tried to argue with us that no body likes onions, so he only puts a tiny bit in the meat for flavor. Well that’s not what menu says. then tried to get smart saying he’s from Philly he knows how they are made. This isn’t Philly, we aren’t talking 100% authentic. It was on focaccia bread, we ain’t talking authentic, we’re talking customer expectations. so anyways, got our refund for that part, but won’t be back to a place where the owner would rather argue with a customer than just offer the refund as I would have had no problems had they just been kinder and taken the sandwich off rather than argue with me on it and get my blood pressure up.

Gelato Joe’s has officially become one of my favorite spots in Foley. I spent my first date here having drinks, and it was such a great experience that we came back the following week for food during karaoke night. Both times were outstanding.
The atmosphere is fun, welcoming, and full of energy — the kind of place where you instantly feel comfortable. The food is great, the drinks are strong, and the vibe is exactly what you want on a night out.
But what really sets this place apart is the exceptional service, especially from our bartender and server, Kate Musgrove. Kate was absolutely incredible. She was juggling a full bar, multiple tables, karaoke night crowds, and still managed to take care of us with a smile the entire time. She works hard — and you can tell she genuinely cares about her customers. Drinks were quick, food came out perfect, and she checked on us often without ever making us feel rushed. Kate is the kind of employee that makes you want to come back again and again.
If you’re anywhere near Foley, you have to go to Gelato Joe’s. Great food, great drinks, great atmosphere — and if you’re lucky, you’ll have Kate taking care of you. Highly recommend!

Would have given one more star if they had gone the extra mile by using separate meat in the entrees that were not the regular meatballs for the gluten-free pasta. The shrimp I had was great, but I wanted the stuffed pepper but thankfully the server told me it was not gluten-free. Lots of Gelato choices as well to pick from for dessert.
