With our pasta we also got two side salads and it made a perfect meal. The side salads were done right with a nice combination of vegetables and the dressing was served on the side. We also do not want to forget giving a shout out to the garlic knots which were soft and covered with a generous portion of garlic butter. Some of the best garlic knots I have had in Denver.
Out waiter was very friendly and helpful. We learned about the history of GeJo’s, which is a great history. They were also attentive to the weather as we were sitting outside. A storm started to blow in so the shut down the sides of the outdoor eating section. In Colorado fashion the storm moved through quickly and they reopened the sides as soon as the wind had passed.
I have ordered a lasagna, spaghetti meatballs and cheese sticks here. The lasgna was okay, the spaghetti was awful, the cheese sticks were not the best.
The pizza was a disappointment. The pizza I ordered was a pepperoni pizza to go. I got home and opened the box and let’s just say they skimped on the pepperoni. See pictures below – worst pepperoni pizza ever.
Sawyer was my server and took good care of me. The saucy eggplant Parmesan with green chilies and an added couple of meatballs was exceptional. Crisp breading, lush melding of flavors and textures! I truly enjoyed the meal. Liked that the owner came by to check in with me.
Thanks again, Bill
Disappointed by the unremarkable noodles and lasagna. Carrot cake arrived seemingly microwaved and sitting in a puddle of what appeared to be sugar syrup? Totally unnecessary, way too sweet.
But the real surprise? The carrot cake. Do not leave without trying it. Moist, perfectly spiced, and easily one of the best we’ve had.
Friendly service, cozy atmosphere, and clearly a well-run family-owned restaurant. We’ll definitely be back!
Authentic recipes passed down generations, and a personal touch. Good stuff all around!
