The food was amazing. We especially liked the sea bass I will be dreaming of that dish til we go back again. The parsnip puree, tomato jam and saffron butter just really blended
well together with the fish! The scallop appetizer was also good- never had scallop cooked so perfectly like this. The decors were beautiful. Our experience guide Jess also was really accommodating and cheerful. I just hope they will cover the parking fee since their space is not enough for their patrons. It’s the least a fine dining restaurant should offer to their customer.

We visited for the first time and so happy the Christmas decorations were still up in January! The food was excellent, especially the whipped ricotta and lamb loin. And we adored the staff, maybe the best in Nashville! Especially Cassie who gave great recommendations (and a couple shots ) and Lauren who was so sweet to take our photo in the cold weather. Will absolutely be back!!!

Make a reservation! This place stayed packed and we came at 1pm! There are lots of beautiful photo ops and TONS of Christmas decor! My husband loved his snowball old-fashioned. It had a snowflake inside the ice. I didn’t really care for either of my drinks, but they were strong and the server was amazing and took the second one off even though I told him he didn’t have to. The frostbite frizz tasted odd to me. You’re not a lot of drink options with tequila, rum, or vodka. John (server)was amazing. The bread for breakfast sand very soft & the Burger was very juicy and well seasoned.

Last minute trip to Nashville and a friend from home recommended this spot. It did not disappoint. We stopped in and grabbed a bar seat. Very happy with the drinks and food. Highly recommend the lamb and duck rigatoni. My favorite part? Fun set of bartenders. You will not be disappointed.

Initial reaction was a not so warm welcoming from the female hostess. It was almost like she had a long day, maybe she is going through some things or just had a bad day. She did not smile at all even though I greeted her with a great mood and smile. I felt as though she was rude with me but I’m going to overlook it because of what I mentioned before. As for the reservation, multiple times my friends have tried to get into the balloon garden room to have dinner and they have failed to make that happen. The rules regarding that is understandable but during the time that we were there no one was in the room but maybe one table, we could have been served and gone. As we waited to be seated the bartender attended to us and her service was excellent. The drinks were lovely. When we were finally seated we decided to finish our drinks and leave. The mood was ruined for me in particular even though I know that our waiter was going to be great because he attempted to try and accommodate us regarding being seated in the balloon garden room but told us the rule and why we couldn’t go in there. To sum it up, people will enjoy it at this restaurant, but for me I have way more choices in Nashville to ever feel this way and return back here.

I had the luxury of being able to dine here twice during this holiday season. One evening I had Stephen as our server and the other I had John. Both were so amazing and attentive to my friends and I. They were very knowledgeable of both the food and cocktail menus! My friends and I were blown away with the quality of food that we ended up getting. We got a couple of apps/sides and some entrees and we were all arguing over who was taking home the leftovers because everything was so good. One of the evenings I dined in the main dining room and the other I dined in the garden. Both were wonderful atmospheres and I was really able to appreciate both rooms for different reasons. You can’t go wrong!
Every room in the restaurant is truly so well decorated. My friends and I could not recommend Geist more!

Food was amazing. A bit pricy but worth it. Patio was a tad cool but they had 2 fireplaces going and space heaters. Staff was amazing as well. Zibby, i believe her name was, extremely kind and very knowledgeable. This place was definitely ready for christmas.

I honestly found this place randomly on IG a couple weeks before going to Nashville, and I was not disappointed. It’s super cute and such a great spot for brunch. Our waiter Payne was the sweetest and very attentive. This is a great place for some cute photos. I’d definitely go back for dinner next time.

As soon as we were sat, the waiter immediately told us that there was a $50 minimum per person, i’m assuming based on how young we look. The minimum wasn’t a problem, but when we noticed he told no other customers that around us that were seated- it felt selective. The atmosphere/ decor was beautiful and the drinks were also great. However, the food, especially the pesto risotto, was inedible. Great place for drinks and photos, not so much for the food.

The hostesses were really sweet, I asked to be seated in the garden and even though there was an extra wait they made it happen! We grabbed some drinks at the bar and first thing I noticed was the immediate tension from lots of the staff. The brunette behind the bar was a bit hostile and intrusive. We were helped by a blonde woman and she was extremely sweet. She was absolutely slammed at the bar, but made great cocktails. I noticed she would help someone and the brunette would interrupt her any moment she got which was a bit unprofessional. Definitely think the team could use some sort of bonding or outing experience as no restaurant on this trip had waitstaff quite as passive aggressive as this one… Our waitress was AMAZING. So informative, so sweet, engaged with us constantly. We weren’t too impressed with the food and I could tell she noticed and felt bad. She asked us all of the questions, “How is everything? Did we like it? Anything I can do for you”. Couldn’t have appreciated that more when you didn’t enjoy something, but we just learned we wont be back for food there as it was bland. Just glad it was pretty for a photo haha. Thank you to our waitress for stepping aside from her other tables to take a photo for us, seriously she was on top of it!
