Although it was sad to see the Unicorn leave Grafton… from the ashes comes Gehrings. With slightly less of an Irish atmosphere the entire restaurant was redone… including the removal of a step up in to the bathroom which used to catch me off guard. On to Gehrings… we recently visited again for Valentines Day. The house was packed and there were some old school dinners being served, namely Gaelic Steak! I would like to think they specifically brought this back for my birthday but I can’t claim that! Try the smash burger! Try the lobster ala cart! Fettuccine Alfredo with blackened chicken!

Plenty of options and things to try. From the start even the cocktails were fun and unique. We ordered the cheese curds that came with this delicious pesto mayo. The avocado deviled eggs were also tasty. Would recommend the red pepper ravioli, any of the smash burgers, and the spring green salad. Full of flavor and color. Also found out during our meal our first waitress was the manager who was helping to bus tables, take and run orders and seen behind the bar. Awesome to see a manager helping like that. Great service, will be back

The French Onion soup was phenomenal, very hot, lot of flavor. The table next to us got a pasta dish that looked to be a very generous portion (and smelled amazing). My salad was good and my old fashioned was perfect. The waitress was very kind and made sure we were doing ok frequently, but not in excess.

We dined at 6 PM on a Wednesday night, our party of 10 was sat as soon as we arrived. Our food was served in a timely manner, hot and overall was good food.
Service left a tad bit to be desired, but our server was pleasant.
The environment was nice, not too loud but also not so quiet that we couldn’t have good conversation. The remodel is modern and attractive.

Absolutely amazing job on the refurbished restaurant and bar. Food feels upscale and the service was great. Wide selection of drinks at the bar too. They make unique cocktails while still offering all of the traditional ones. This are is in desperate need of great restaurants so its refreshing to see this. I got the bourbon salmon and it was perfect.

It’s like casual and fine dining together. The food is always good and they recently added new menu items. Their bar has everything and anything. Avocado deviled eggs were bomb. Ravioli is amazing. Pulled pork Mac and cheese was delish. Can’t wait to come back! The service was wonderful.

A big shout out to Gehring Tavern. Such an amazing place and their staff are the best. We lost my mother and they were approached about doing a family luncheon after the services as we have a very large family. They were willing to help us out and we couldn’t be more thankful. Had an awesome first visit here with my mom! We tried the fried green bean appetizer and had the ribeye for dinner—both were fantastic. You can tell locals love this place, and I’ve heard the burgers are really good too. We’ve driven by so many times and never stopped in until now! It’s right across from the street from the Taco Bell.
The atmosphere is great—you can sit in the bar area or the dining room, both are nice. Our server was excellent, super friendly, and never rushed us. She really made sure we had a great experience. We’ll definitely be back, especially to try out the happy hour menu! They also seem to have some unique dessert and drinks options as well. Great spot! I recommend trying it! I just wish we knew about it sooner. We love supporting local businesses!
