We got there early around 4. We sat at bar ,got a number (2). We had the option of a table or eat at the bar. I heard that the perch was very good. They serve perch,poor man’s lobster, cod, shrimp, scallops. They had all those in combination for $19. 1 or 2 of the combos with scallops was a little more. I got the perch and poor man’s lobster with hash browns. Perch was excellent with a light breading and cooked to perfection. Poor man’s lobster was pretty good. Hash browns were also very good. My wife got a bacon cheeseburger which had 3 slices of bacon and fried cheese curds. She said both were very good. Small town bar with good food , casual dress . It’s definitely not fancy inside and after 5pm it started getting pretty busy. Good prices, good food. We will definitely be going back.

I don’t get there often enough but Club 117 is one of my favorite places to eat. The food is delicious. The staff are friendly. They do so much for their community too! Fridays get busy but I recommend going for lunch during the week. You can get poorman’s lobster off the regular menu not just Fridays. If you want a good combination try a grilled ham and cheese sandwich with broccoli bites! That is one of my favorites, washed down with a glass bottle of Sundrop!

This last weekend we decided to stop at Gehm’s on our way up to mountain snowmobiling. We always like to try the local pub and grills and give them business vs the chain restaurants. It was about 7:10pm when we arrived. We walked in and noticed they were not very busy. Seeing no sign to wait for service, we noticed a few open tables, so we went and sat down. A few minutes later a server approached us and explained to us that we were not allowed to sit at the tables because we had not yet ordered our food. Once our food was ready we would be seated. She said we could either have a seat at the bar or at one of the pub tables and she would be with us to take our order shortly. Being out of town and seeing no sign, “wait to be seated,” we told her we apologize and we didnt know, we gladly got up and had a seat at one of the pub tables. She gave us each a menu and a number and told us she would be with us shortly. We had several servers pass by us over the next 15 minutes with nobody stopping to take our food or drink order. We also noticed the server that gave us the menus kept looking at us with kind of a smirk on her face and talking to other servers. We felt like we were kind of the joke of the pub and started to feel uncomfortable. Finally at 7:35, and it being obvious that we were not going to get served, which was unfortunate because they have an amazing menu of items, we decided to leave. This was not a good experience for us. Unfortunately we will not be back.

Stopped there on a whim; turned out to be a great experience. Our menu selections were just excellent; wait service was solid gold/5 Star. And the whole place is just sparkling clean. The “atmosphere” of these things more than covered for otherwise spare and unfancy interior. Will return for sure, though it is nearly an hour away from home.

Ordered fish fry meals from home for take out and went in early for a drink at the bar. Smallish place, but packed. Excellent service and great amaretto sour! Food ready right when they said it would be. Best pickle chips I have ever had, normally hate the things, and stole 3 of my husband’s. Fish was great. Daughter who really doesn’t like fish, ate both pieces of cod. My 2yo and 6yo helped me polish off the poor man’s. Perch was good, too. Definitely want to go back and try their blackberry bacon grilled cheese. So cool that their sandwich of the month supports local organizations.

I went for their Puzzle Night, where teams come together to all create the same puzzle the fastest. A lot of fun. The staff were friendly if a bit frazzled by the extra teams that came in. The other half of the bar was playing the game, so it got loud, but that’s normal. Had a great time.
