This review is for the diner and the lounge.

Diner: Rebekah and Melissa provide professional, top-notch service and Geets is lucky to have them both. They are knowledgeable about the menu/specials, extremely personable and pleasant, and quick and efficient. I look forward to seeing them and they’re one of the reasons I keep coming back week after week.

Geets diner hits on all the main reasons I love a diner: huge menu, copious servings, and friendly service. The place is clean, and the lighting is great. The bathrooms always look maintained. There’s a huge counter section and 2 different spaces with tables and booths. There’s enough room for everyone, even on busy days. The atmosphere is relaxed and you can watch TV too, if you’d like.

The meal I am mostly coming in for is breakfast. The specials, which are available M-F from 7AM-11AM, are, quite frankly, the best value in town. You cannot beat Geets prices, especially considering what you get. But more importantly: the quality is A+ and the servers take care to make sure your plate is correct before they bring it to you. If you have not done so yet, check out their “customer appreciation” breakfast special. Two eggs, choice of meat, potatoes, toast, unlimited coffee, and a small juice. What would you pay for this? At Geets it is $10.65, which includes tax. Read that again. Ask your server about substitutions too, because I know instead of “home fries” you can get fried potato cubes, grits, or even sliced tomatoes. It’s good to have choices!

There’s a reason Geets has been opened as long as they have. There’s a reason it’s a landmark. I feel confident that if you’re within 20 miles of Geets, you’ve heard of it and have been there. If not, you need to go there now and experience it for yourself.

Lounge/Bar: for me, it’s all about service. JoJo, Shayna, Lisa, Paul, Stephanie, and Frank – you’re in good hands. They’re proficient mixologists, they know the menu, and they’re fast. You are getting stellar service with a smile.

The atmosphere is welcoming, too. There’s a huge bar with plenty of TVs and the outside patio area is now enclosed, virtually doubling the bar/lounge area. What’s been done with the space is refreshing to see. Once the double doors are opened, it’s like one big bar and lounge with plenty of space for everyone. Booths and high-top seating complete the layout.

As with the diner, the lounge offers exceptional food and drink at great value. Happy hour is from 3:00PM-7:00PM M-F and the specials on food and drink are fantastic. It would be wise to check the website and/or Facebook because they have specials during the week that you should take advantage of, such as Thursday night pizza and Wednesday night half-priced wings. A huge plus is that the diner menu is available in the lounge too. Another reason to check online is there is often entertainment, such as trivia night and live music.

Whatever you’re in the mood for regardless of time of day, Geets has something for you and you’ll be glad that you went. See you there!

Unbelievable value on top of great food. Huge portions, small prices. Too many meal choices! Huge menu. My wife and I stopped for lunch. We both opted for the fried flounder lunch special which included mashed potatoes, choice of soup or salad, ANOTHER side (we picked the breaded and deep fried eggplant, PLUS dessert. All for $13.99. Photos attached.

Classic South Jersey diner. Staff is awesome, friendly and efficient. The daily sandwich special, Brooklyn roast beef was delicious. They keep it really clean too!

We are on our way to Smithville in Galloway and after missing the exit before, I quickly looked up breakfast spots for this exit and found Geets. A great rating above others I saw in a few seconds.
As we walked in the door we noticed people waiting for tables. After putting our name in, we were told 15-20 minutes. It was maybe 10 minutes and we’re seated at a clean booth. Our server, “Gabby,” was right there to take our drink order. She was prompt and nice, but quick passing by later and asked how our meal was. By the time she finished asking, she was past us.
The food was delicious , perfect temperature and flavorful.

I came to this diner for the first time to try it out as people had recommended it. Well, the food was good but I have to say the service was not as good as I thought I would have had from the recommendations. First, the server had to be asked for rolls which come with the meal. He stated he will bring out Italian bread. The bread way stale and hard. The server did say to the couple behind me that he brought out fresh bread for them. Then, he did not even bring to the table extra napkins. That’s a first step when serving. He had to be asked for the napkins. He checked on the couple behind me multiple times and only a few times for me. I tip people based on service. Good service starts at 30% – 35% minimum as far as tipping is concerned when it comes to my tipping as I know that servers do not make much and rely on tips. He missed out on a great tip due to his service. Not good and I don’t think I will be back here.

Me, my wife, and middle daughter stopped in for brunch. I got the French onion chop steak which was really good. My wife got breakfast. Her eggs and bacon were good but they undercooked her pork roll after forgetting it completely at first. My daughter got a turkey and bacon wrap which was really good but they did forget her honey mustard as well. The food was great dinner food. Just a bit of a rough day for the server. Would recommend if your looking for a dinner.

They don’t serve their food on a plate, they serve it on a platter because on a plate it would never fit. We had cheeseburgers and french fries. The cheeseburgers were huge and the plate was filled with fries which were cooked to perfection. The waitress checked on us several times making sure we had everything we needed. They had it well decorated on the ceiling for Christmas celebrating our Jesus birthday, outstanding.

Quite the menu, for sure! Stephanie waited on us and gave us superb services. Had meatloaf with fried eggplant, and it was cooked perfectly. Great taste and 3 big slabs. Wife had stuffed shrimp with garlic butter spaghetti, which she thoroughly enjoyed with leftovers. I’m glad we visited after seeing it the day before.

Love Geets Diner & Bar. Large menu of comfort foods and Italian dishes. Attentive service. It’s a classic New Jersey Diner. Good prices and specials. The place is always busy and large enough to seat parties without a long wait.

Food was outstanding. We stopped in on a short day trip. My dad had read they’d been there since the 1940s. We had to try the landmark diner! We were pleasantly surprised. Lunch was fantastic, the specials were great. Food quality was impressive and tasty. They even asked my mom if she wanted to take her iced tea to go, because she had a full glass! She got to enjoy it on the long drive home.
