Here at Get Battered Fish & Chips, we focus on serving the best English specialties in town. Our fish & chips are made in-house from scratch, so you can guarantee it will feel just like you’re across the pond. Alex Stokeld started Get Battered in May 2007 after years of dreaming about a chippie in his hometown Denver. He spent most of his summers growing up in England visiting his massive family (his dad was one of sixteen children). Naturally he fell in love with fish & chips, especially in places like Brighton and Lowestoft.
Fun eatery with a patio offering fish ‘n’ chips & other homemade, iconic British fare, plus beer.

I remember when this place first opened — the food was really good back then. The staff are still very friendly, and the guy taking our order was from the UK like me, which was a nice surprise.
The fish looked good, but my daughter is a picky eater so she ordered the sausage roll. I got the beef and onion pie thinking we might share. She was expecting something like a proper British sausage roll, but what came out was more like a small snack version, with some very watery hot Colman’s mustard.
The pie was overdone. The filling had a decent amount of meat but it tasted a bit old. The chips were bland and greasy. It also felt like the kitchen staff just weren’t really on top of things during our visit.
The service was great, but the food just wasn’t what I remember from when they first opened. Total spent $24 before tip.

Dang this is some good fish! Not the cheapest in town, but you really get what you pay for. I ate every bite and left wanting more. Staff was friendly and helpful. There’s extra parking around the back alley. Definitely coming back again

Amazing fish and chips, adorable old time fish shack. We absolutely loved it and being from WA we definitely haven’t had too many great fish and chips. The leftover even stayed crispy to warm up for later.
Fresh hot fries.
My daughter loved the haddock. Even the service dog loved his fish treats we bought him.
It’s definitely a crowded place to sit on wood benches with service dog and 1 year old included.

Not the first time we have been here. The staff is friendly. Even the cooks said whats up to us. Food was hot crispy. I asked about a new fish and thwy went out of their way to show me. Great place we will be back. Cod was delicious.

Great fish and chips! Crispy exterior but tender flaky interior. Chips (fries) were decent too. Good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. Had malt vinegar, lemon wedges, tartar sauce, and ketchup available. Would recommend and will be back.

The Masked Turnip
Fantastic fish and chips! Loved the variety of fish choices (I had cod and haddock, both were fantastic) and great to see that they offered curry sauce (which is a must with fish and chips). Staff were super friendly. I would prefer if the fish had a little more batter (for crunch) and that the curry sauce was a little more zesty, though I think that this is a personal preference and not a critique of the restaurant. If you’re from the UK and are missing good quality fish and chips you need to come here.

This was our first time here so it was tricky to get into the parking lot of GB fish and chips, I got on the wrong side of the fence and didn’t know how to get to the other side so I just got out of the car and went in to order the food and my daughter drove around to find the right place to park, she finally did it. I ordered Reg Cod Meal to go and everything was piping hot when I got it. The batter was so light and crunchy unlike other places the batter was thick so the fish came out soggy. I love this place, definitely going to come back again…

I haven’t found a better fish and chips place in the metro area and I hope I never do. Get the combo meal, great variety and price. The staff there is always amazing, but the kitchen staff is where the magic happens. Everything was so light I was in disbelief. I’d give 6 stars if I could.
