So much meat and cheese. Definitely a meal for 2 people (or lunch and dinner).
The service was fast and fresh and kind. I wasn’t sure what to order, so I asked if they’d make whatever is the most popular. I ended up with a Sanatoga and my friend has a chicken cheesesteak. Both were chef’s kiss.
Will definitely come back
Ordered a cheesesteak with fried onions and cooper sharp which is my go-to anytime ordering a steak really.
Easy ordering process, they have a walk-up window. There are some areas outside in the lot to sit and eat as well.
The steak was incredible. Seeded roll with the cheese and onions mixed into the steak. It was delicious and flavorful. Almost a sweet and smokiness to it. Well balanced also with the roll holding form. Each bite was great. Just amazing
Definitely one of the best steaks around.
Cards only. You order at a small window. There are no condiments, cutlery or napkins. Maybe if you ask?
There are a couple of picnic tables next to the parking lot. I went at 2:30 and there were a few parking spots.
I guess the steak would travel OK (the roll is tender and chewy, but not crunchy. Hand cut fries were crispy and not greasy, but would steam in the box during a short ride.
A welcome addition to the area, but I’m not giving up Johnny’s Pizza.
We ate there as there are two picnic tables with umbrellas next to the building. Parking is tight, maybe 8 spots. It is right on Haverford Road and I’m not sure what your parking options would be if the lot is full. Mostly parking in another business’ lot and hoping for the best I guess. Mostly geared to takeout so there is no atmosphere so to speak.
I had the Sanatoga($18). It was good sized and had a good meat to cheese ratio. It came with a seeded bun. Not sure if plain is an option as I was not asked to choose. Bun was good. Smoked cheese was flavorful but a $2 up charge over regular cooper seemed a tad high. Good amount of meat but I found it sliced a bit too thick for my taste. Our group felt this made it a little tougher than you would expect from 100% rib eye. Small cheese fries ($6) were average. Fries were thin and somewhat caved in. Plenty of cheese though.
All in all a nice debut but still has a ways to go to top Johnny’s in Bryn Mawr.
I might come back in 6-7 months but won’t be in any hurry.
