Tried their buffet l, the selection of items is a bit limited, but almost everything we tried tasted great. A few items were not as fresh as expected, otherwise this would easily be a 5-star spot. The staff is very friendly and attentive, with refills and service right on time. Overall, a good experience and I’d definitely come back.

Came here after leaving another buffet priced at $21 with poor table availability and item selection. Gaylord has been a favorite of ours over the last decade but the changes they’ve made since we’ve last been here are great. All items were good, didn’t find anything too salty or lackluster. They even have a DIY bhel puri station. Loved the transparency of the open kitchen. All staff members were extremely welcoming and accommodating, and I must say I haven’t experienced this level of service at any other Indian buffet. Kitchen staff even came out to speak with customers to gather feedback. Environment was neat, noise level was mild. Glad we chose to come here over another place! $18 buffet is definitely worth it.

We went on Tuesday night and the receiving was good and we got a table in less time since the restaurant was empty. And the amount of food offered was too little .If you are planning to go to this place order an extra plate if you are Moderate eater.

A good Indian dining establishment that understands both spice, quantity, and flavor. Key points: they don’t hold back on paneer!! They accurately spice! Medium is actually medium spice!

Dal makjani: spectacular earthy and grounded flavor. Fresh and authentic without overbearing grease/butter (8.75/10)
Paneer Kadai Masala: strong flavors, great quality and quantity of paneer cubes! (7.9/10)
Naveatan Korma: standard/decent (7/10)
Rice: Adequate, well cooked and good flavor. (7/10)
Garlic naan: delicious and fluffy but not over the top greasy. (8/10)

Food and service were excellent. HIGHLY recommend the Kerala Fish Curry and the assorted bread for 2. Also the samosas were delicious. Our waiter KC was attentive and very sweet. Already looking forward to coming back. A new favorite for us ☺️

Every time we are in the area, we always plan a stop at Gaylord. Our favorite dishes are the Murg Makhani, Bengan Bhartha, Saag Aloo, Nan. This time we also tried Murg Tikka. Everything is absolutely delicious! Prepared fresh, wonderfully fresh herbs and flavors. We always order way too much so we can have lots of leftovers to enjoy another night at home. Portions are very fair for the prices. Gaylord never disappoints.

Casey is always great and attentive. Food is freshly prepared and delicious. I love the chicken kebab, garlic naan and samosas. Good wine selection. We get the dark horse Cabernet. We can relax and spend time without being bothered. Highly recommend.

I recently visited Gaylord Fine Indian Restaurant, and it was an absolute delight for anyone who appreciates authentic Indian cuisine. The buffet spread was impressive, offering a wide variety of dishes that beautifully capture traditional Indian flavors.

The mutton curry was the highlight of the meal — perfectly cooked, tender, and rich in spices that reminded me of home-style cooking. It had the ideal balance of heat and flavor, making it easily the best item on the buffet. Other dishes were also well-prepared, with fresh ingredients and excellent seasoning.

The ambiance was elegant yet cozy, and the staff were friendly and attentive, making the whole dining experience very pleasant.

Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Indian food — especially the mutton curry!

The quality of food was okay to average. I have been to this place maybe 10-15 years and it was amazing. We had a stop in Chicago so Gaylord came in to our minds. The pakordha Manchurian (not sure of the right name for the dish) is a no no! So much sauce and overpowering flavor of tanginess. The shrimp dish also looked the same. There was a balance between the vegetarian dishes and non vegetarian dishes. Also the bhel chaat station wasn’t too presentable for a buffet standard. I am not sure of the prices per buffet in Chicago area but this felt high especially price for kids under 12 years of age. These are in my opinion! Paying for good quality food is always a pleasure but this was not upto expectations!
