Let me preface this by saying I have lived 30+ years in a major, ethnically diverse metropolitan city with LOTS of culinary options. That said, I found myself traveling South from North Dakota. I can only takes burgers and wings so many times, so I was delighted to find this Thai place hidden amongst the corn fields. Is this the best Thai? No, as I’m sure availability of ingredients is a factor. However, the pork was delicious. Is Gaye a delight with whom to visit? Yes. If you are traveling on the interstate 4pm-8pm and just really crave something wrapped up in rice paper, here’s a little stop.

I’m not a big fan of take out food due to the poorer quality, but that is what we deal with during COVID-19. Gaye has been very friendly and helpful as she gets her restaurant up and running and last night was no different.
We picked up our first meals there last night after looking forward to trying it for months. On Gaye’s recommendation, we ordered Panang Chicken Curry and Chicken Curry w/ Bamboo – both ordered as “hot” because we like spicy food. Gaye was worried it would be too spicy for us, but it was perfect!
As to my opinion on the dishes, both my wife and I preferred the Panang, as we both liked the peanut flavor. The Chicken Curry w/ Bamboo seemed bland to both of us. There was a large quantity of chicken in both dishes, so the protein value seemed good. The chicken pieces were quite large and the meat was dry however, possibly because we picked up our order just before closing time. We would have preferred a bit more rice with each order to help absorb the delicious curry, so I used some buttered ciabatta bread once the rice was gone (also delicious).
We will definitely be back to try some other dishes in the future and appreciate Gaye bringing Thai food to Hankinson!

Went to pick up our food from inside the restaurant and surprised the health department hasn’t shut it down.
And Pad See Ew is supposed to be flat rice noodles, not spaghetti noodles. Thai beef salad was also really odd. Was hoping to be impressed as options are limited in Hankinson, but it’s crossed off of our list.

Have been ordering for over a month now & I have NEVER been disappointed! The food is addicting, reasonably priced & she delivers to my area every Friday. I would HIGHLY recommend. (would also recommend the beef broccoli & the wontons, they’re amazing)

A hidden gem in hankinson, ND! Delicious authentic Thai food with the best wong tong rolls I have had. We drove down from wahpeton just to try the food and it did not dissapoint. My husband said it is even better than the Thai food options in Fargo!!

Gaye is delightful and genuine. The food is excellent and great potions. The building and interior need some work but it won’t stop me from eating there. Panang Chicken was exceptional!
