We visited Gaya Korean Tofu & Grill and loved everything we ordered — Bulgogi, Japchae, Bossam, and Korean pancakes were all delicious and reasonably priced. The restaurant had a lively, busy vibe, but the servers were very friendly and attentive. There’s free parking, which is a big plus! Highly recommend coming early, especially on Sunday evenings, since it gets quite busy. Great food and great value!

Food was reasonably priced and delicious. Tofu soup was a bit weak though in my opinion. But for the small tofu soup and meat combo you can’t complain.

I got the spicy beef noodle soup and I loved it! Perfect amount of spice but flavorful. Really hearty with the decent amount of noodles.

It was pretty busy in there but we didn’t wait long for the food.

Will definitely come back again. I think about the spicy beef noodle soup often!

Great authentic Korean food, at a great price. The banchan is fresh and home made and really delicious. The fish cake was maybe the best I’ve ever had. Soft tofu stew is really good, ordered the beef and had a really good beef taste to it. Full menu selection of stews and other dishes as well that I will be coming back to try more of.

BTW, I am a Korean. I ordered a goat meat soup and a spicy squid. Quite surprised as the food quality was very good. I didn’t expect this quality of foods outside of Korea Town. I loved the fact that the side dishes are balanced (meaning some are salty and the others are not).

The dishes I ordered are probably not popular for non-Koreans. Most non-Korean customers were eating lunch boxes with Korean BBQ or tofu soups. I didn’t try them.

I am definitely going back.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 – Pork Neck-Bone Soup (#1 in Stew & Soup) and a Mushroom(n) + Beef Tofu Soup. Both soups were flavorful and the pork neck-bone soup was very generous in protein. The sides were delicious and they provided complimentary purple rice!

Ambiance: 5/5 – large spacious restaurant with plenty of seating. The side door is locked so you do have to walk to the front of the restaurant to walk in. About 6-7 parties walked up the side door and looked extremely confused that there were people inside but they couldn’t walk in.

Service: 5/5 – we came for an early dinner before the crowd came and service was very quick!

Value for price: 5/5 – delicious food, quick service, and a very comfortable feel in the restaurant.

Food was tasty. Better than most traditional Korean tofu places.
However the service was really slow. Party of seven sat for twenty minutes before the boss man came to take our order.
He’s the only who will take your order. He also manages the table seating and cashier. Needs more help or allow other staff to take orders to be more efficient.

This establishment is my top choice for Korean tofu soup. The value is exceptional. They offer a wide variety of complimentary side dishes, and are generous with their portions.

My spicy chicken tofu soup was outstanding—a perfect 10 out of 10. I highly recommend a visit if you are in the area.

Great authentic Korean food in a family owned place. Name says tofu but they do pretty much anything, and it all tastes delicious. Korean-born wife thinks this is best Tonkatsu (chicken or pork cutlet) we have had in the US, and we travel around. Side dishes are fresh and large portions, and the Nyeongmyun (ice noodles) was also tasty. The grilled meats are good quality and they aren’t stingy with the quantity. Their signature dish, Sunduboojigae (spicy tofu soup) is so rich and flavorful with many options for style, (pork, seafood, etc). Don’t mess with spice level 3 or 4 unless you can really handle spicy food. Surprisingly it is large inside and clean, well lit and designed. We will trek from the Valley just to get legit Korean food here, its worth it. – Apologies for after photo, just trying to show how my family of 4 absolutely demolished 5 entrees and side dishes.

The galbi was the bomb! Went again the next day and ate the same dish with tofu soup. The beef rib soup with noodles was also very authentic. Sides were decent and probably the best Korean restaurant in Torrance hands down
