So what do you do after driving 1200 miles from Chicago? A place sometimes called the Greek and Polish Midwest when it comes to food? Go directly to Gaufres and Goods and tell your Greek friends at home the hummus is the best we have ever tasted. The addition of strips of sun dried tomatoes and thick gooey Balsamic vinegar. So stealing that genius move. Our wait staff Jessica was charming, knowledgeable and quicker than you would expect considering she was working a short day by herself. We must of timed it perfectly as we got there and was able to order and eat while the lunch crowd converged. The menu read like a who’s your Greek aunt or Polish nana in the back. Authentic and delish.

I was just looking for a place to sit and enjoy the weather when I saw the tables in the alley way. I love Greek food so decided to try a few different dishes. I’ve never had sweet perogies before so had to try the blueberry ones. They were so good! I also tried the Greek salad with gyro meat which was piled so high I had to move half to a separate plate. The tzatziki sauce was always amazing. Server was really kind and the atmosphere in that alley was so peaceful. I’ll definitely go back!

I really enjoyed the food it was delicious.it felt like eating at my grandmother’s house. The service was very good and fast. Something very important that caught my attention, and that no one else mentioned, was the cleanliness of the bathroom. It really needs a good deep cleaning; it was very dirty.

5 stars all the way around. 100% I would recommend this place to anyone asking where they should go for food. The food was fantastic! Everything was a perfect representation of a home cooked Polish meal. The prices are extremely reasonable for St. Augustine. Our server was very friendly and attentive to our table. I’ll be coming back every time I’m in town.

Terrific! Smaller side dining area, but fantastic service and authentic greek/polish options!

The greek coffee was in point (no sugar worked fine for me), and the blueberry pierogis were an instant hit!

It was blustery cold out and the lentil soup was a great choice.

Recommend when near the art area in St Augustine!

We came here as a group of 4. Although a bit pricey it tastes pretty authentic. (Authentic in that, the food is not particularly flavorful or intense in seasoning.) Keep that in mind.

We especially liked the Goulash soup – that one was rich in flavor and meat and felt so hearty and warm. We ordered the gyro salad and the gyro wrap – the gyro wrap was particularly stuffed to the brim and had lots of meat that balanced well with the fresh lettuce and feta cheese.

The gyro salad was good but lacked dressing – good to keep in mind if you’re a saucy person, to ask for more dressing.

We ordered mushroom meat pierogis they were flavorful and bit crispy on the outside although a bit mushy on the inside, I’m sure that’s common for the cuisine, but if you don’t like soft textures you might not like it.

Service was laid-back (slow) and servers are not particularly charming or friendly, if these are things you care about this place is not for you.

This place was an accidental golden place my family found for lunch. We got the sampler platter as an appetizer as well as the Malamatina wine bottle and it was so light and refreshing especially on a hot day. We got amazing fresh food with amazing service and authentic atmosphere. We stumbled upon this place and it was the perfect choice. I would 100% come here again.

It was such a pleasant surprise to find a restaurant serving Polish food during our recent trip to St. Augustine. We absolutely loved our experience – the stuffed cabbage and pierogis were particularly amazing. The location is on the smaller side so be prepared to potentially wait for a table – it’s worth the wait!

We loved it. Good Vegetarian options.
Greek plater was delicious, flavour full, big portion. Briam was good but a bit watery , but it tasted good over all.
