Kam the main bartender was great, although she seemed to have to do everything (remake others drinks, redo food, etc.) to rectify other shortcomings. French dip was good, and Salmon was cooked correctly and was also good. Fries tasted like onion rings, but was quickly replaced with a fresh garden salad that i swear she chopped up on the spot! The Ceasar salad was soaked in dressing, but that was also rectified with more lettuce. This is a convenient stop before going to the Straz and glad we came a couple hours before the show . This is a nice place, with a little management attention it could be better.

Someone said this place was a hidden gem and they were right! Exceptional service by all the staff ranks high on the list of why to stop in- servers, bartenders, and even Chef came out to say hello and delivered a complimentary dessert! We dined for breakfast and again for dinner, both times unable to finish the huge portions. The atmosphere is also great!

Boisterous – We were looking for a place to get some food and a drink before a performance at the Straz so we tried Gaudin’s. Two tables of about 10 people kept the noise level above 85dB. Meanwhile the bar staff were MIA. After 15 minutes we flagged down a bar tender and ordered drinks and a quesadilla (which was actually good). Free cheese and deli meat were good, as were the drinks. We think it could be a reasonable place for a snack and drink prior to a show at the Straz. What we don’t know, is this a regular “watering hole” for a boisterous crowd – if so it’s not a place to go.

Party of 6. Very well take care of. The wings were by far the biggest in town, we got them plain and with buffalo, both were delicious. The pretzel was good, Caesar salad is HUGE with crostini that were also delicious. French dip and Mac and cheese both good, the smash burger and chicken with waffles equally delicious. Would definitely recommend and will be back. The staff were amazing attentive but not “clingy” Camilla was our server and was excellent!!

This is definitely one of Tampa’s hidden gems! Located in one of the hotels across from the Tampa River Walk, accessible to most of the downtown strip, let’s just say I’m glad I found them today! From awesome service to one of the best burgers along the River Walk, they are no holds bar when it comes to the drinks either! They had a comedy show, and one of the opening acts was one of the bar tenders, and he didn’t disappoint! Great vibes, awesome location, and really good food!

Hidden gem for sure. The deviled eggs (deep fried with blackened shrimp on top) were amazing, drinks were tasty and strong, and our bartender (Juan, I think) was great. Will be back!

We were staying at the Barrymore Hotel for a few days in Tampa last November and early on discovered this amazing restaurant in the lobby named Gaudin’s. They were still in the soft stage of opening at that time and were not even listed in Yelp. Nevertheless, we thought we would try them for brunch and eat in our room. It was a quick ride downstairs to their cozy restaurant. We noticed that they were also serving dinner later. We grabbed a menu for our room.

We were really surprised at how big our brunch box was. Gaudin’s doesn’t skimp on their servings. They serve generous portions. In our Brunch Box were honey waffles, turkey sausages, quiche, scrambled eggs, toast , fruit, a fruit parfait with berries, breakfast potatoes with caramelized onions and other chopped veggies. I may have missed something. Oh yeah, the mocha lattes. Everything was so delicious that we ordered from them a couple of times more. Why go anywhere else when the best is a short trip downstairs?

Our server was Tiffany, who was a delight! Very friendly and helpful.

You can park for free in the big hotel parking lot. They are located in Downtown Tampa and are easy to find. There is wheelchair accessible parking as well as entrance. Go to your left after you enter the hotel. There were booths and tables and a bar.

When we are in Tampa next time, we will definitely stop in again!

Great staff and vibe at this sweet little spot in the lobby of The Barrymore Hotel right around the corner from The Straz in downtown Tampa! We had the charcuterie and old fashioneds. A great spot for a light dinner before the show with a reasonably priced menu. We did top it off with their scrumptious chocolate cake served with ice cream…yumm yumm! Amy and Camilla (?) were terrific servers, especially considering how busy the cafe was! Good job everyone!
PS— wish I had grabbed a pic of the beautiful chocolate cake!!

It took 45 minutes for our food to come out, and then the food was horribly disappointing. The $19 bagel with smoked salmon was only 1/2 of a bagel, the salmon was not smoked salmon, it was cooked and weirdly sweet, the bagel wasn’t toasted. The potatoes were cold and almost raw, they seemed boiled but as if they had never been in a skillet. All the food was cold.

My dad was served coffee in a mug with a sugar wrapper in the bottom and lipstick on the rim.

The grits were good. The waitress was polite and the atmosphere was ok.
