Visited 8/15/13 upon a suggestion from friends to take advantage of the Thursday night Ladies Night 1/2 price special. Take note that the special is no longer offered there. The website mentions “Last Ladies Night (1/2 Price on Full Buffet for Women) ON 06/20/13”, I would suggest removing the information altogether to avoid future confusion.
Anyway, we dined there as a party of 9 adults and 2 children with only three of the adults having experienced Brazilian steakhouses. A bit slow and confusing for the first five minutes or so waiting for drinks until we hit the buffet bar for starters. The cold selections were excellent, but do recall that the hot selections could have been a bit hotter. They weren’t cold, maybe a few degrees above warm. But I did not come there for the side dishes. From then on it was a nonstop high speed carnivore-fest! The different meat selections were quite tasty and satisfying and the servers were very attentive and pleasant. Everyone at our table left the experience unable to eat another bite. Not the healthiest way to eat but definitely worth doing once in a while.
The manager himself was making the rounds to all of the tables to make sure all was well, our table twice. When he brought the check to us, he informed us that our waiter had to leave just after our drink orders due to a family emergency, but the rest of the staff took over and we were frequently waited on and provided for. The reason for our slow start.
The first bill was incorrect (in our favor) due to the early staff shuffle, when mentioning the error to the manager and mentioning that we were expecting (incorrectly) the 1/2 off ladies special he corrected the bill and still gave us a good discount.
Bottom line; the dinner was very good, the staff were pleasant and courteous and the manager was quite professional and accommodating.

my husband and I came here while visiting Wilmington for a valentines weekend getaway. I was very impressed by everything from the food to the service all the way up to the decor. We will make sure to visit Gauchao each & everytime we visit the great city. I have told all of my friends about it already.

Ive been to many many different types of brazilian steakhouses. I am sorry but honestly this was a very poor experience. if your looking for average steak off of a scewer and or just some good pineapple on a scewer then you will b ok here. If you dont mind translating everything into spanish so your server understands you’ll b ok. also b prepared to wait 10 min to get your drinks that you ordered to your hosstess. We were constantly waiting and hoping someone would come by to check on us. I am sorry i dont write bad rewies, and i dont exagerate but this place needs some honesty. i hope they make some changes. New manager please!

Excent Brazilian restaurant – salad bar had an amazing variety of options: meats were grilled to perfection and to your taste; servers were friendly and kept on coming! Decor was excelent, just wished there was more brazilian decor. I have recommended to all my friends.

I’ve been here about 5 times now and the food is always great. I’ve had a few hit and misses on certain meats that were awesome one time to just slightly awesome another time. Don’t get me wrong, all of the meats have always been great and definitely worth a visit if you go when they are doing a 50% off promo.
