What a fun local pub! We came from central Iowa and Eastern WI to visit Decorah but ended up finding a motel in Dorchester and then went looking for dinner. Were we happy to find Gators! Jean and the staff were very welcoming and the customers were friendly. Great Friday fish fry and reasonably priced beers. Can’t ask for more!

Gators is a simple tavern focused on good food and hospitality. I was traveling through northern Iowa and one of my customers recommended this place. The burger was so juicy and cooked perfectly and I didn’t feel tired or weighed down afterwards. The owner read me like a book and cooked my meal accordingly, I can’t explain it any other way. If you’re driving through Eitzen, give Gators a shot. Places like this deserve our business!
