The food was good and the drinks were great. My tamarind margarita was well made. The queso enchiladas were delicious. Didn’t order dessert so can’t comment on that for now.

Their decor is very cat themed and the lighting is perfect. We were seated at the bar and the staff was super attentive. The pricing seemed reasonable for the quality on offer. I’d go back again.

Hands down the cutest restaurant I’ve been to in Boston; I can’t say enough about the decorations and little details of the interior. The service is amazing! They brought us the wrong order and let us keep it 🙂 The food has some room for improvement; it can be better seasoned for sure. The ingredients taste fresh though and they serve warm bottomless tortilla chips ! Also it’s cheappp!

The atmosphere is so fun! On top of that, all of the food was delicious. We loved the croquette plantains, and chicken enchiladas. You can tell everything was fresh and cooked perfectly. For dessert we had the churro bites and they did not disappoint. Sad they ran out of flan, but we’ll just have to come back again! Also, the Cafe Naranja with dessert was perfect!

Amazing food and environment you feel like you’re transported somewhere else! Every ingredient tastes fresh and high quality. We had the potatoes with birria, the jicama watermelon salad (such a unique flavor), and two quesadillas which was way more than enough for 2 people. The tiki drinks are complex and flavorful, and I love that they specify the strength (fuerza) and sweetness. I really enjoyed the sapa perro. Santiago our waiter was super friendly and helpful. We’re looking forward to coming back again and bringing friends with us to share the experience and food.

The group behind Wusong Road does it again. Top tier ambiance from the vibrant decor to the lavish presentation for the dishes. Portions are huge – a $18 main plate is more than enough on its own. Their tacos and enchiladas are lovely, but their real star is the side dishes: their rice and beans are astoundingly good and surprised me quite a lot. The biggest star though is the plátanos machos, panko-crusted plantains filled with cheese and deep fried. Addictive, unique, and out of this world. Go here and order those plátanos and a drink and have a good time.

Also, while they still have the dori-nachos special, give those a shot. The most elevated Doritos you’ll ever have.

This spot is inside the Galleria Mall. My friend and I made a reservation for a girls’ night out to catch up, and based on the reviews we were excited, especially since I’ve been to Wusong Road and absolutely love the food, drinks, and service there. Unfortunately, this experience didn’t live up to the hype.

The decor and vibes are gorgeous, dim lighting, vibrant colors, roses/flowers, and traditional Mexican skulls set a really nice atmosphere. We ordered drinks to start: I had the tres leches colada mocktail and my friend had the mango margarita. Both were okay, nothing special.

From the start, our server’s energy felt off. I completely understand off days (I’ve worked in food service for over 10 years), but when we asked for recommendations, her attitude came off very dismissive and off-putting, like it was a bother. My friend ordered tacos and I got the plato asado de puerco, both were good.

After paying, we stayed briefly to chat and finish a drink, which is pretty normal. The aisle may have been tight, but every time our server walked by she kept elbowing my back. At that point it was just awkward and laughable, and we were more than ready to leave…and not return.

Located inside a mall, which already sets expectations, but surprisingly, the decor is the highlight. It’s very unexpected for the location and almost has a Disney-style vibe, which was honestly the best part of the experience.

Came in around 7 PM on a weekday and about half of the restaurant was empty. Unfortunately, I was told that a large portion of the menu was unavailable. The drink I wanted wasn’t available, the dish I wanted wasn’t available, and even the chicharrones were unavailable, also they do not have salt and pepper shakers I asked for salt and they took the box and pour salt in a shot glass lol, odd. Half of the menu not available was disappointing.

Customer service was good and friendly, no complaints there. However, the food itself was very generic nothing memorable or worth bragging about. I was really expecting and hoping for more from this place based on the concept and atmosphere.

Nice decor and friendly staff, but the limited menu availability and average food made this a letdown overall.

As huge fans of their sister restaurant, Wusong Road, my husband, our friends, and I could not wait to try their new spot, Gato Exotico. We chose New Year’s Eve for dinner, and even though they were operating in soft opening mode with a limited menu, the experience absolutely lived up to the standard we expect from the Wusong Road team.

The service was attentive and welcoming, the cocktails were creative and fun, and the food was excellent, even with a smaller menu. The décor is incredible and, much like Wusong Road, fully immerses you in a different world, which really completes the experience and makes the meal extra special.

We can’t wait to go back once the full menu is available. If this was just a preview, we’re already hooked!

What a fun little spot! Incredibly decorated, fantastically mixed drinks, but I was absolutely bowled over by the shrimp cocktail. Aside from being a remarkably generous serving, the flavors of the gazpacho-salsa-pico blend it was served in were an absolute revelation. I have grown my own tomatoes and never tasted anything that good.

Gato Exótico absolutely knocked it out of the park for me. Everything was chef’s kiss. the drinks were creative and balanced! But let’s talk about the real star of the show: the plátano croquettes. Crispy on the outside, soft and dreamy on the inside. I would happily cancel plans for these again. And again.

The vibe was fun, like the kind of place where you feel taken care of but still relaxed like you’re at a friend’s place who just happens to have impeccable taste and a killer bar program. I will definitely be back.
