This Bar is actually part of the Hilton Richmond Downtown location. The Bartender was polite, the drinks were good, & the atmosphere was nice on the Friday evening we were there. They had a good selection of alcohol & there was also live music as well.

So NOT IMPRESSED. I’m truly disappointed, actually. Monday nite, it was steady but not really busy. The server was sweet but SLOW. The food took forever, it seemed. Overpriced for what we got. Kinda MEH. The chicken tacos were underwhelming. Asked for the Pico on the side, and got 4 plain soft tacos with just chicken and lettuce, sour cream on the side. NO FLAVOR! Had no seasoning, it seemed. It’s just not worth the price. Had to ask for cheese just to give it something. Definitely DO NOT recommend a visit.

The lead waiter lady was super nice and positive. Menu is a little limited, but I was in the mood for crab cakes, and Gather & Hem served them with jicama slaw and a tasty vegetable medley. Live musician performing on many or most nights. Tonight was a jazz instrumental trio.

I’m not really sure where to start to explain how tragic the experience was. From being told the printer was broken and that’s why we hadn’t gotten our order while people who got there considerably later were eating. Or being told an hour after ordering thst something was not available or someone being given a meal they didn’t order because “we don’t have what you ordered”

I ordered the fish tacos, and they were lights out. The waitress was working as hard as she could, and the support staff was very hospitable. Pleasantly surprised!

This is a great place to stop and have an appetizer and a couple drinks after work. The food has always been amazing, the mac and cheese is dangerously delicious. It’s becoming our new favorite downtown spot, Nasim is a fantastic bartender with some of the best customer service I’ve seen in RVA.

Staying at the Hilton, tried the bar twice. The bartender during the day was overwhelmed and had to look up the recipes for the drinks. Night bartenders were better but drinks were just ok. Didn’t eat but food did look good.
