I came here in Valentine’s Day and got seated within 10 mins not bad and we shared a sample platter that has simoas with chicken and some other veggie food which was good. Got a mojito that was great! Food did take long about 1 hour 30 mins but the girls that worked there saw I kept looking around and said I looked stressed out and frustrated and comped us 2 free drinks and an appetizer so that was nice of her. I got the butter chicken and we shared the garlic naan bread and everything was so good one of the best Indian food I’ve had!!! Definitely recommend coming here if you are craving food in the longwood area just don’t come on a holiday or you will be waiting over a hour for your food but I would come back again one day!!!

Craving curry one night and place an order on their website. I picked three types of naan to have with our meal. Garlic naan, butter naan, and cheese naan. For entrees we ordered two chicken tikka masala, and one chicken Kashmiri. All portions were generous as we had enough food for a family of 4 and leftovers for the next day. The rice is a great base for all of the entrees and curries. The kids love the tikka masala and all of the naan we tried. This was my first time trying their cheese naan and I will definitely be getting it in the future. I’ve also had their chicken korma and butter chicken. (Can you tell I like chicken?) The Mango Lassi is great too! If you’re looking for Indian food this is the spot. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

It was my first time visiting and I had a great experience. My server Ruposri went above and beyond with recommendations. The owner even came over and offered some free food items. Such a welcoming and cozy atmosphere. I will definitely be back. 15/10 Rating!!!! Amazing flavors and great service.

In Florida to visit my sister from Iowa. She brought me to her favorite Indian restaurant. We were met by Nidhi who provided me with recommendations. Started the Gateway Platter. We had the Chicken Kashmiri and Aloo Gobhi along with the cheese garlic and onion kulcha naan breads. The flavors were so amazing. I highly recommend Gateway to India and ask for Nidhi.

First visit to Gateway to India Restaurant and we’ll absolutely be back.

From the moment our food hit the table, we knew we were in for something special. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly spiced — but the real star of the night? The butter chicken. Our daughter was obsessed (and honestly, we were too). Creamy, rich, and comforting in the best way.

We also loved the variety on the table — tender meats, vibrant sauces, warm naan, and dishes that made for sharing. Pair it all with a cold Rupee IPA and it’s a full experience.

If it’s your first time trying Indian food or you’re already a fan, this spot is a must-visit in Longwood. Family-friendly, welcoming, and seriously delicious.

We had the pleasure of dining at Gateway to India, a decision influenced by the numerous positive testimonials from prior patrons. Upon our arrival, Nidhi, our server, extended a warm welcome and escorted us to a comfortable booth. She offered insightful recommendations for beverages, leading us to select a bottle of wine to complement our meal. Nidhi’s service was exemplary; she consistently monitored our needs throughout the evening, ensuring our satisfaction and expertly addressing our inquiries about the menu. The restaurant boasts a diverse menu, including a commendable selection for vegetarian diners. We began our culinary journey with the vegetable platter, which was served hot and proved to be a delightful appetizer. For our main courses, we chose the grilled salmon and grilled prawn, both accompanied by a side of butter sauce. Each entrée is thoughtfully served with a choice of flavored or white rice, a fresh salad, and naan bread. The cuisine at Gateway to India is exceptional, and Nidhi informed us that all dishes are prepared in-house. I wholeheartedly endorse this establishment for those seeking an authentic Indian dining experience. We anticipate a return visit to explore more of their offerings.

Their food is soooo good! If you like spicy get their food at the hot level. Their spice is so good because it builds up and gets your taste buds tingling. I got the lamb vindaloo at hot and it was so so yummy. My husband got the lamb tiki masala and if you like sweet that is a really good option too. Dont get me started on their papadam, it is so good I got two orders to go.
Nidhi helped us and shes a sweetheart!

Edit: we just also got their mango cheesecake and HOLY MOLY. I think maybe the best mango cheesecake ever. Its so soft and refreshing and a delicate sweet. It reminded me of a hot summer day with a cold drink. You have to get it.

We had an absolutely fantastic dinner at Gateway to India tonight, and the experience was made even better thanks to our wonderful server, Nidhi. From the moment we sat down, she was warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable. Her recommendations were spot-on and truly elevated our meal—every dish she suggested ended up being a hit.

We started with the Vegetable Samosa, which was perfectly crisp and flavorful, especially paired with both the tamarind and mint chutneys—a must-have combo. The Aloo Tikki Chaat was another standout, bursting with texture and balanced spice.

For entrées, we absolutely loved the Goat Karahi, which was rich, tender, and deeply aromatic, and the Chicken Tikka Masala, which was creamy, well-spiced, and comforting in all the right ways. The Garlic Naan and Onion Kulcha were fresh, soft, and ideal for soaking up every bit of sauce. Even the Taj Mahal beer and a Goose IPA paired nicely with the meal.

Nidhi did an exceptional job guiding us through the menu and checking in at just the right moments—friendly, professional, and genuinely invested in making sure we enjoyed everything. It’s rare to find service that thoughtful.

This was a memorable dining experience from start to finish. Incredible food, excellent recommendations, and top-tier service. We’ll absolutely be back—and we hope Nidhi is working when we are!

Highly recommend.
