After visiting Bar Harbor & Acadia National Park, on our way back to Belfast, we decided to dine on Lobster & Clam Chowder at Lunts Lobster Pound. It was their last day of the season to be open. We had a couple of 1 & 1/2 # Lobsters, fresh Clams & a couple bowls of Clam Chowder. Sides were Fries and Corn on the cob. Everything was absolutely delicious and prepared perfectly. Our lovely server was Shannon. She was very polite, professional & just a Sweetheart. She took great care of us. Thank you Shannon!

I ordered a lobster roll and lobster stew, and while the food itself was quite tasty, the experience was disappointing. Both items were charged $2 more than the prices shown on the menu, so I asked about it. The staff told me they had raised the prices a week ago but forgot to update the menu, which honestly sounded unbelievable and unprofessional. It also felt like they might have overcharged on purpose, assuming we were tourists. Good food, but very poor service attitude. I wouldn’t come back.

Drove by on the way to Acadia, and was intrigued by the footlong lobster roll sign so I made sure to stop by on the way back. Service was great, I went with the normal size lobster roll and some lobster stew. Overall nice experience, good little road side spot.

Great friendly service. Lobster stew is worth driving across the state for. Lobster roll was good too. I got the clam chowder but wished I’d ordered the lobster stew along with my wife.

Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy lobsters with sides, Maine’s famous blueberry soda and homemade pie! Onion rings were also great. As someone who prefers less saltiness and sweetness, I found this place perfect for lunch. It was welcoming environment and the lady who served our table was also kind and lovely.

We had high hopes going in, especially for the foot-long lobster roll, but the excitement quickly turned to disappointment. The roll came with bitter, wilted lettuce and the lobster meat itself was overcooked and stringy—far from the tender, buttery texture you’d expect. The clam chowder missed the mark too: watery broth and undercooked potatoes suggested a hasty kitchen rhythm that didn’t allow flavors to settle. The one redeeming item was the lobster mac and cheese, which had a nice balance of richness and seafood flavor.

Don’t recommend.

Great place to stop for fresh lobster. All the food was delicious but the lobster was a little smaller than we’d had on the rest of the trip. Great family owned place with really helpful service.

If you like lobster you don’t have to go to Bar Harbor. This place have very good food. We had steamed lobster and lobster stew. I’m not really a lobster person but stew was delicious. We enjoyed steamed lobster too. Was little bit messy but fun.

We stopped here for dinner.
Everyone that helped us were so nice and fun!
I gave the atmosphere 5 stars for the outdoor seating in the back. I honestly did not go inside.
We ordered our food at the counter then we picked it up when they called our number.
We sat in the back in the gazebo. It was absolutely beautiful. Just stunning. Would be a great place for a garden party or wedding.
Our food was very good and I can now go back home with my full of lobster
