Went here for lunch a few weeks ago. The pizza was good. Nice atmosphere. Would go back to try other things on the menu.

Have come here for fish sandwiches on fridays during lent for the last 10 years. Sadly, this will be my last visit to Gateway Grill. My girlfriend and I used to be able to come here and get 2 fish sandwiches and 2 beers and we were in and out for $40 with the tip. Today we came and the fish sandwiches were nowhere near what they used to be. Last year, the sandwiches were massive and fried perfectly. As for now, Think fried too long and too much breading and not enough fish. But, that stuff can be hit or miss. The worst part- today my girlfriend and I each got the fish sandwich and were charged over $30 per sandwich. With our beers our bill was over $80 for some Lenten bar food. This place has turned into a scam. On top of that, the server forgot to bring my beer until I had already finished my sandwich. Don’t normally leave reviews, but I had to to steer others clear from wasting their hard earned money at this place.

We were looking for a local breakfast place & had no idea Gateway Grill is also open for breakfast. What a great surprise. It was awesome!! 10/10 we highly recommend. You can even order their pizza for breakfast!

Overall, the food was good. The 1/2 RACK ribs were super tender, and the sauce was delicious. I didn’t eat the baked potato because it wasn’t even split, and they didn’t send the requested sour cream and butter. Additionally, it was covered in BBQ sauce because it was placed in the same container as the ribs. Although the wedding soup had a good flavor, it consisted of only one tiny piece of chicken, one carrot, one leaf of spinach, and two meatballs, so it was primarily pasta and broth. I did appreciate the soup spoon. The 1/2 ITALIAN HOAG is just like any other, but the delicious bun took it to another level. The Add Fries are just as good as any other fresh-cut fries. I would order again, especially since they have a good variety to choose from. I will say that we were going to order a small pizza with 4 toppings, and it came to over $30. That’s a bit pricey for a small pizza, but the reviews say the pizza is delicious, so we may give it a try to see if it’s worth it. I can’t speak to the service and atmosphere, as this was a DoorDash delivery.

We have been here multiple times. Food is decent at times. If you’re looking for a relaxing paced meal this is not the place for you. They will throw your food at you faster than McDonald’s drive thru. If you order a salad with your meal you won’t get two bites out of it before they put your meal in front of you.We have mentioned this a few times to the waiter/waitress and there answer is if we don’t get the food out of the window quick we get in trouble. Wait staff for the most part is ok. There is a short blonde waitress there is who is pretty rough with lots of attitude. Had the wings a few times. Very little sauce and when you ask for more that will be extra.Pretty sure that’s on purpose along with salad dressings.Never used to be like that. Overall this is a fast paced food factory with no thought of the customer in mind. Just throw the food at them and get them out so we can turn the table. Managerial presence is non existent.

We just moved to Pittsburgh and were looking for good places to eat when we came across gateway grill. To start off the costumer service was great! Very friendly and attentive! We had the Cuban and Italian sub. The Cuban was good but different not what I’m use to. My husband sandwich was delicious. I definitely would go back and try more options they carry. The atmosphere was very cute and felt like home. I definitely recommend trying the place out! The fries are amazing a must try!

The atmosphere and service were fine but I did not enjoy my breakfast. I had French toast with bacon and a western omelet with potatoes and a biscuit. Everything was flavorless. The French toast was my least favorite.

Food and service are decent. We used to eat here a lot. The most recent trip, however, we noticed a significant price increase across the entire menu. It’s no longer a good value to eat here. Sad.

Went to this place with my mom sister and nieces. Has a rustic feel which I didn’t mind. The service felt rushed, impatient and inattentive. The food was not tasty to my mom, my sister or I. My mom had toast she ordered wheat with butter it was not wheat but maybe 6 grain wasn’t buttered and her orange juice left a weird taste in her mouth. My sister ordered a chicken onion and cheese omelet and a hot chocolate. Neither was good; the chicken wasn’t seasoned, the onions weren’t fully cooked nor was the cheese properly melted. The hot chocolate was not tasty it was made with water and a bland powder it wasn’t appealing. I tried the French toast and didn’t really like it wasn’t enough cinnamon nutmeg or sugar for me, the bacon I got a mouth full of grease; I decided to box it up for my son’s that will literally eat anything. I then ordered sausage and scrambled eggs with cheese I’ve never had scrabbled eggs with cheese in which the cheese was just laid on top the egg was just folded like an omelette. The cook wouldn’t prepare the food to order I didn’t like that even if I paid I couldn’t have my food the way I wanted I asked if I could have veggies scrambled in my eggs and I’d pay the price of an omelette if needed and was told not possible. I also had a coffee that just tasted like burnt beans. My nieces had chocolate chip pancakes with bacon and french toast with sausage and they liked it in happy for them. When we left we all agreed we wouldn’t be back it was a waste of a hundred dollars and a terrible first time there my sister had been for dinner before guess we got a bag cook for breakfast.

Very pleasantly surprised and impressed with this place!
Stayed in area and did a search for local casual places.
Dominic was the best server!
Friendly, made great recommendations, and food came out quickly.
I had the Philly Steak Sandwich with chips. Very large portion!
Fresh, flavorful and I’m adding how amazing the bread was. A true Italian roll!
I had to bring part of sandwich back with me
Which left room for pie!
It doesn’t look like much, but this place is a true gem!
Very affordable prices
Non smoking!!
