Visited the Gateway Cafe for a Birthday Dinner on a Friday Night. Haven’t been here in a while and wasn’t sure what to expect but it was a full house. We ended up getting a table for 10 in the basement (no reservation). While that wasn’t ideal they accommodated us quite well. The food is what you’d expect for bar food options with some good appetizers. For my app I got fried shrimp which were really good. for my entree I went with a “Footlong” Fish Sandwich. This was a top tier fish (haddock) sandwich in my books as it is hard to find a good one. A good establishment.

Great service! First time there, and it was Valentine’s Day, so it was very busy. We got our food out in order of appetizers, salads, and then main course, and it all came in a timely manner. Our waitress had a great personality, even under the stress of the busy night. Steak was cook exactly as asked!

Came with some coworkers to the Super bowl party and buffet! We had a great time here with the locals and learned some history about the place and its decor! Very cool spot with great people and really good food and cocktails. I enjoyed the best blackberry ol fashioned!!! I hope to come back to the area so I can come back and try something else

Me and my wife stopped to grab a bite to eat. We arrived after they had opened and before you knew it people started arriving quickly. They have a very good menu to choose from. The service was good and the food was very good. I would describe it best as comfort food. The waitress helped me selecting a beer to go with my food and she knew to help me based on what I was looking forward to tasting.

This is a lovely bar/restaurant!! The lighting is a bit dark but it’s brightened up by plug in lights and other festive decorations – all of which make this place feel super homey! The bartender and our waitress were SO friendly & very accommodating. Our waitress had a great sense of humor & was willing to talk to us, and she even took interest in our lives (on the surface level). Again, this just made it feel super homey. It’s on the side of the road and doesn’t look like much from the outside but their food & service says otherwise!!! Stop by for a yummy lunch or dinner… or a drink. Great beverage menu 🙂 10/10 would recommend to any travelers or locals!

This place is a real fine. Just off the main drag by 1/2mile. They have seating near the bar and also a large dining room. It looks like they also may have a private room for small parties. That food we had came out hot and our drinks were cold… this was a Monday night, and the place was busy. I asked if they take reservations so we can bring our whole family back…. They do A Great Place!
