Lindsay is a cake genius. She has the most stunning assortment of cake flavor combinations, and they’re all DELICIOUS. We went with the blueberry lemon cake for our wedding cake and were told by guests that it was “the best wedding cake they’ve had” multiple times. We also bought cupcakes (funfetti & chocolate caramel) that were smash hits!!
We loved Lindsay’s to-go tasting experience. It gave us the opportunity to include both sets of parents in a more personal setting.

I gave Lindsay some vague ideas for a baby shower cake, and she created the most beautiful cake! It was almost too pretty to cut, but we did anyway! It was so delicious that we only had a slice to take home afterwards. I can’t say enough about her work. She is artistic and creative and fun to work with. You won’t be disappointed!

Lindsay was so great to work with, and the desserts were absolutely to die for! She was able to give me my dream wedding cake. It was perfect for an autumn wedding. The additional desserts (chocolate raspberry torte and apple handpies) were delectable, too!
Her shop is adorable, too! So many adorable toys!!

Lindsay is a rock star! We did a cake tasting and ended up having a custom cake made out of a few different options. We also had a bunch of different side dessert options, a lot of which were her idea based on our theme. Her designs were beautiful and she was so easy to work with. I will absolutely be hiring her again!

The frosting is smooth and restrained, the texture is spot on, and nothing is overly sweet. It’s the kind of cake you keep going back for and then think about later.
I was lucky enough to have my own milestone birthday cake made by her, and it was unforgettable!

Absolutely phenomenal! My wedding cake from Gateaux Cakes and Pastries was stunning and delicious. It was everything I asked for and came out more beautiful than I could’ve imagined! We also ordered desserts such as cupcakes, mini pies and macarons (made to match our wedding colors!) and they were all amazing! During our planning, we were searching for a bakery that makes decorative cakes for our rehearsal dinner in Asheville. Our original date was October 11th, 2024. Unfortunately, due to Hurricane Helene, we had to postpone our day until November 2025. Lindsay moved us to our new 2025 date without any issues. Our cake turned out wonderfully. It not only looked great but tasted great too. We received so many compliments on the cake from our family and friends. I HIGHLY recommend Gateaux Cakes and Pastries!!
