Very nice German restaurant with german flair and decor. Owner is a born and raised Berliner, which is now the Capitol of Germany. Very sweet and accommodating. All the food is pretty much home made and delicious.
The outside area could use a little TLC, but it’s not a deal breaker.
Pricing is very reasonable considering all of the prepared meals are made from scratch. So don’t expect fast food in a relaxing atmosphere. No alcohol is served but you can bring your beer or wine .

We had the 2 house specialty plates; goulash and the breaded veal. Both plates were amazing, so good. Also we tried the apple dumpling for dessert. Very yummy. Food was a little bit over the salt. But that’s only something i must recognize, mot complain about. This restaurant is located at a former fast food restaurant building. They don’t offer german beer :((( overall highly recommend.

The Schnitzel was excellent. Perfectly breaded. Tender inside, crunchy outside. Carrots were great (i know that’s a weird thing to recommend). Green beans were a little salty, but with the carrots were perfect.
And finally the Carrot Cake. My mom prides herself on making great carrot cake and i have to agree, and up until now, haven’t tasted better. I would never tell her, but this Carrot Cake was the best I’ve ever had.

Excellent German dishes served piping hot with a smile!
Had a stuffed pretzel and the veal schnitzel with fried potatoes and green beans. Felt like I was back in Dresden!
Will definitely be back!

Amazing!
Gotta be honest, we pulled in the parking lot and thought it was closed down.
So glad we didn’t shy away.
Schnitzel was the best we’ve had. The jalapeno gravy and mushroom gravy were both fantastic. The deserts were perfectly made (bread pudding, carrot cake, and chocolate cake). I would never stop anywhere else when we drive through again.

Absolutely wonderful food. The first bite took me right back to Erlangen! I enjoyed it so much, I ate there 3 days in a row while I was working in Beeville. You must have the Holzfäller schnitzel with spaetzle! The restaurant is immaculate inside and the staff is friendly and attentive. Do yourself a favor and visit this restaurant!

The owners make everything here by hand. Def some of the best food I’ve ever had in my entire life. It looks like a shabby little place on the outside, but it’s absolutely lovely inside and the service is top notch. 100% recommend!!!

The service was great. Employees were freindly and inviting. During meal our drinks remained full. Food was outstanding. We started with a pretzel stuffed with cheese and spinach, my husband had roast pork and I had a goulash. We even took desert home. No complaints for anything, it was just perfect.

Legit German food I’ve been missing since all of my favorite places in New Braunfels have shuttered.
The schnitzel was very good, carrots were rich and tasty, and the potato salad was just ok. The potato salad had a bit too much vinegar for my taste or what I grew up with, but some may thinks it’s perfect. I think it’s really a taste thing.
We tried the pretzels and they were tasty as well. The staff were helpful since this was our first visit, as well as the locals at the next table who suggested a few items from the menu.
The Owners were in-house and busy either cooking or aiding the waitresses. They were also very nice as well.
I definitely recommend trying out a little Berlin-Texas fusion here as you’ll see the menu has a few adaptions that make the food both interesting and approachable.
Alcohol is not served here FYI.
Prost!
