Second time coming here and I ordered the same items as my first visit.

Crème brûlée French toast – 10/10
Yogurt – 10/10
Mexican Mocha – 10/10
California burrito – 8/10

The only downside this time was the steak quality. I’d rate it a 2/10. When I had it almost a year ago, it was easily an 8/10 — this time it was completely different. It had a strange texture, almost plastic-like, and lacked flavor.

I wouldn’t recommend going with the steak & eggs that’s the only thing I’d change.

Aside from that, everything was great. Customer service was top-notch and my server John was very attentive and friendly.

I was pretty skeptical ordering shrimp and grits in San diego.

Although they weren’t perfect, it was still probably the best thing I’ve eaten in the city all week.

I would definitely suggest this place for breakfast over the other options I have been to in gas lamp.

Good food, good prices for the area.

Our waitor took like fifteen minutes to acknowledge us, and only came back by once. I think this is just a California thing though. The wait staff knows they get a paycheck regardless of quality of service.

Either way, solid spot… If you are a southerner and like shrimp and grits, this place has a pretty good take on it.

This place was shockingly good. We were walking around gaslamp and we saw this place, we thought that this place would be a good representation of what gaslamp has to offer, and it is even better than that. I ordered the “Breakfast Co. Flight” and picked the s’mores waffle, churro French toast , and the crème brûlée French toast, when you read these you think they will be way too sweet, but they found the perfect balance for each of these, the s’mores waffle was really good, but I like the crème brûlée better, and best of all was the churro French toast. The churro French toast was LIFE CHANGING I’ve had a lot of French toast but the way they made the French toast and implemented the churro into it was genius. The flavor coming from this tasted like a gift from god himself, this dish was heavenly. If I prayed to god for happiness and this came from the sky my expectations would be blown away. This is a death row level food item and I can’t recommend it more.

Found this place on Google when searching for a gluten free breakfast. Our waiter was so friendly and greeted us immediately. I asked him for a recommendation on which gluten free waffle to get. He said that the best on the menu was the buttermilk cornmeal waffle but to top it with the gluten free fried chicken!! I took his recommendation and I’m so glad that I did! I haven’t had fried chicken since I had to go gluten free several years ago, and this was the best I’ve ever eaten!!!
This place was so good that I had to have breakfast on our last day in town because I haven’t found any place this good in Phoenix. I will definitely be back!!!

Great vibes and decor, but honestly the food left me desiring a bit more…

We stopped by on a recent visit to San Diego for a Sunday brunch and found a lovely space with lovely wall decor and a lively atmosphere with plenty of other people inside.
The host was very friendly and had us promptly seated, and our order was taken not long after!

We got some mimosas, which had a few juice flavors to choose from for going with it!
Now for the food – I decided to go for the Brioche Breakfast Sammie….let me just say..stick to the pancakes and waffles here.
My partner seemed to really enjoy his Breakfast Co. Flight that allows you to mix and match any of the waffles, pancakes, and french toasts – so I’d definitely say go for that!
My Breakfast Sammie on the other hand was, well…meh. Lacking flavor, falling apart while attempting to eat and very messy, and yet like I said – just REALLY bland and boring despite all that mess!

I still do recommend this place, as the vibes, drinks, and service were all on point.
Their strengths are definitely with the waffles, pancakes, and french toast.
So you’ll especially love coming here if you really enjoy those food items!
Just don’t get the Breakfast Sammie.

Had the French Toast Crème Brûlée and it was 10/10! Husband had the breakfast burrito and said it was so great. My friend had the shrimp eggs and grits and loved it. In fact, we are going back tomorrow

DELICIOUS!!! Seriously so delicious we ate here twice for breakfast in our 4 days visiting lol Eric was our server the first time and was seriously so accommodating and a great server!! Our second time we had another great server, a young girl I’m so sorry I can’t remember her name but also so incredibly sweet and great at her job! We sat outside the first time and it was amazing of course, but the interior of the restaurant is absolutely gorgeous! Love the random chairs at each table. I had the Brioche sandwich both times, for obvious reasons. We also tried the scramble and a pancake which was amazing and the second time the chorizo burrito omg. 12/10 awesome. Great food, great people, great vibes! It was so good we couldn’t even take a picture of the food it was gone. ❤️

The Gaslamp Breakfast Company is a must to return in San Diego. I had the Spicy shrimp and grits Chefs kiss (Asian inspired). Buttermilk pancakes and the American the bacon was a little over cooked but over all really good breakfast.

An absolutely amazing breakfast assortment in a unique and fun location. My son said the French toast was the best he had ever had, and I have to agree with the crème brulee French toast I got. Also, the golden state latte was delicious!

The short version: excellent food, lovely atmosphere, and friendly service. Highly recommended.

Longer version: We visited the Breakfast Company for breakfast on a Saturday morning. This was our first visit. We arrived at about 9am and the place was pretty packed. We sat at the counter, otherwise the wait would have been about 15 minutes.

The drip coffee is delicious and smooth. My wife had a latte that had tumeric, ginger, and cinnamon. It smelled great.

The food was hot and fresh. My wife, who ordered the Breakfast Flight, said that all the items on her flight were amazing. It was a ton of food, too. See the picture. The plate is as big as a skateboard.

My American breakfast was very American. Huge portion. The star of the plate was the sweet breakfast sausage. They also offer a spicy sausage, which my neighbor on the bar are. He said it’s great. He visits 3 or 4 times a week, so that should tell you something.

On the table there is a sauce that is sort of like ketchup, but with a hint of spice. Delicious, and paired well with my breakfast potatoes.

Highly recommended.
